And here we are almost 4 years later. When I made this video I didn't expect so many views and wonderful comments from you guys. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your kind words :) and most of all - thank you Nightwish for making it possible and inspiring me over the years.
You are so welcome ! Paraphrasing Carl Sagan : Everyone I love, everyone I know, told me how much they admired your video. What a great complement to the music. Congratulations for the level of quality, thank you for the emotions you shared with us.
I still come here once in a while to listen to this amazing album. With great music I am unable to do anything else than focus on the music itself, but watching your video simply enhances the joy I get out of the tracks. You truely added to the enjoyment of it all.
There is literally not a week going without me watching this video at least once. Thank you for creating it, I love when one elevates art with their own art. Your video is getting me through some really rough times now. Thank you for it ❤
I just came across this - and teared up. I have been listening Nightwish A LOT the last few days after a lengthy pause and their music overwhelms me.Thank you!
I read some comments from "music critics" when this album came out saying that no one would ever listen to the second part of this album more than once LOL. I've been listening to this everyday and I love it more and more. Tuomas is a genius ♥️.
That could be one of the dumbest things I've heard in a long time. I've listened to this more then the Human part of the album, this is just a brilliant 31 minutes!
Tuomas sends his appreciative greetings and thanks to those involved in making this video. I forwarded the link to him and he wanted me to tell you he loves it.
That is genuinely awesome! I would so awestruck to hear from him personally. To me it shows that he has a true appreciation for the fans. Something many don’t have.
It would be great if they say something about it. The care and efforts involved in the creation of this wonder show a lot of love and respect for Tuomas work. If he knows about this, it would be nice to see some love in return.
The deep meaning of this work of art is over human comprehension. I really appreciate the work done by this incredible artist that edited the video to illustrate the amazing songs composed by Tuomas Holopainen. I wish every human being was able to sit for a half hour and appreciate this beauty of nature. Thank you ten thousand times. I’m going to spread the video as mush as I can because this is something that have to be seen by many. 💙
A quote from the famous Finnish composer Jean Sibelius, "Remember, a statue has never been set up in honour of a critic!" This was his advice to another composer to not pay attention to critics.
Tuomas: from an ex- broadcast sound engineer in the Netherlands I can only express my hope and desire: That during my lifetime your name will be cut in stone next to the other greatest music composers of mankind on the pillars in the Amsterdam Concert Hall in Amsterdam. You absolutely deserves to be next to them. You bring light and happiness to my life. Thank you.
Having watched this several times, I have only just learned that this was a fan creation - I had always assumed it was the official video!!!! Great to read that T loves it too
Not really, most people listen to crap music, but we would like the aliens to think highly of us so I agree! In fact I wrote the same thing about the Greatest show on earth! NASA should name a constellation after this band.
Too many people threw hate on this second half of the album, while I was simply stunned at the masterpiece that Tuomas presented us with. You can feel the nature in this mans music
the best filmscore ever, it can make people cry all over the world no matter black or white, rich or poor, this is our planet and we must take care of it
I had the same problem!😢 It’s a very emotional piece of music. Tuomas is just magical. A musical wizard! And the video is breathtaking. Our planet is so diverse and beautiful. Together this is 31 mins of pure joy!
I'm relatively new to Nightwish, only having come to know their body of work in November 2020. I'm discovering more amazing music each time I dig a little deeper. The best part is I've only started to scratch the surface. There's so much more to discover and I haven't heard anything yet that hasn't blown my mind. To me, this is proof that there's still some hope for the human race. I still get a little teary-eyed each time I hear it. ✌️🖖 It's now Feb 13 2024 and I chose this music to help me say goodbye to my Feline Overlord of the past 12 1/ 2 years. He did like this piece of music. He had great taste in music. 😿🐈👑🕊️🌈🌉😫😭
I doubt that we ever gonna see the rise of another talent like this, lucky to be alive in this age and more so, proud to be able to say "i was there somewhere in the crowd"
This is beautiful. There are no words to describe how perfect it is. I cried. It touched me in a specific way and I'm thankful for it. The band MUST watch it!!
Yeah this is so touching. It makes me want to start photographing again. When I was young (like 10 or something like that) I used to take my dad's old camera or use his newer one to take pictures of nature on vacations. Now I sometimes use my phone when I see something but I really want to learn how to work with a real camera to do it
Today we projected this on a screen in our theater just with a few of my colleagues, with a proper big sound system. What an experience! Unforgettable, touching, epic, very well done.
Growing up listening to classical composers like Bach and Motzart this is a masterpiece and I love it. I listen to this today for the 4th or 5th time as I get ready for a stressful shift working at a jail. It's perfect and better than any other ways I know how to relax..
I admit I was dissapointed when I saw that the Nightwish channel had not made a music video like this about the second disc, not giving it the exposure it deserves, so I thank you for doing so! This is literally what I had in mind for a music video about All The Works but I'm not experienced at all in video editing so I hoped someone would do it and you did justice. :)
I hear that the upcoming album will be similar to this, less vocals and more orchestral, one of the icons of symphonic metal bands ever never got to perform live with a real orchestra! Who know, maybe one day.
Moors.. I left my heart and soul in scotland 2018. Due to covid and not been able to travell just breaks my heart. These images makes me cry. But someday this situation will be over and I’ll be able to go back to where I left my soul and heart. I miss scotland so much that it hurts, geez! Love from 🇫🇮
Whenever my husband and i go on roadtrips especially scenic ones, we also bring our favorite film composers with us. James Horner, Bear McCreary, Hans Zimmer, of course Williams etc. We will definately be adding this to the mix! 🙂❤
I don't think I've ever heard a more majestic piece of music that made me feel so much in balance between what all the world has to give, this work make you feel your soul trascend and somehow feel the world as a whole! I'm speechless. There is no way to describe this sensation in human words.
I found this video Aug. 24, 2024. Beautiful! Recently came across Nightwish & absolutely love Floor's voice. Her range, her talent - wow. Thank you for this video, @paintedworldofash
If I had to choose one song, one video for all the Universe to know us... it would be this. This is a delight for any Soul. I'm very, very grateful with Nightwish for creating this masterpiece of music, and with you for showing our wonderful world through this video. And, of course, with the Earth, that wonderful being that allows us to be alive, along with all the beings that make it up. We are part of everything. We are alive. Thank you
AT this point see 4 people out of nearly 600 gave this a thumbs down. I don't know what they're looking for, but I would advise them to seriously consider seeking counseling. Done Beautifully!
Now it's 10 out of 11 thousand. That's 0.0009% of viewers disliking this. You hardly ever see a like dislike ratio like that in a video with so many views and so few dislikes. 😊
@@j.lahtinen7525 Gotta think it's young kids only looking to head band, instead of growing and maturing right along with Nightwish. They'll get it when they're older! ;-) Thanks for the update.
@@j.lahtinen7525 You got to look at likes vs dislikes, not views. 1.400 out of the 45.000 who watched it pressed like. You got to assume that there is a similar ration of people who disliked it and didnt press the Dislike
I guess most people pressing the thumbs down for this are those that use cell phone speakers for their audio output. Try it sometimes, it really murders music like this. Music like this needs ear monitors or proper speaker setup to be fully appreciated.
Nightwish, you do something for me that a therapist could never do. You give me peace in my soul, through your BEAUTIFUL music & breath-taking videos. You put me back in touch with what is beautiful in life!! Thank you!! Fan forever!!
Overwhelming visuals. The music is on par with Hans Zimmer, Howard Shore.. brought to us by a Heavy Metal musician (genius) from Finland, think about that. 11/10
I believe this is what Tuomas saw in his mind when he composed this music. Thank you so very much for this video. We have just this one planet that we really need to take care of. We still have these spots where life is as it's meant to be. But those areas are getting smaller and smaller because some of us just don't care. One people can't do much if other doesn't but together we can preserve this to future generations. We just need to think our children what we want them to have. Little things do much when they are done together.
I only have one problem with this.... I want to close my eyes while listening to this, but i simply can't. That would be a shame to not watch this gorgeous video. 2 masterpieces combined into 1!
I fall asleep with this song every night, not because it's boring, but because it's so peaceful..... nature and music, all is emotion, that is Nightwish giving to me. The Cello sounds , and harp are amazing...and Floor her voice of course..... everyone his/her own part, has the woh factor.
Who are those inhumans who disliked this wonderfull emotional rollercoaster... absolutely amazing... I hope there is a chance for the band members to see how you brought their masterpiece to life.
Ok. Now I´ve cried and got goosebumps all over my body. The most beautiful pictures of nature and the best soundtrack for the nature which have been ever made... For me, that´s exactly the sound or the voice of the nature.
I’ve been looking for communities praising this absolute masterpiece of art. Looks like I found it today. Well done friend. You added another dimension, and thus made it better. I will be here, watching, listening, and waiting for you to go viral, because this sure as hell deserves it.
I don't know if I am exspessing myself properly but if this were a book in a library I would put it next to Vivaldi's Four Seasons. Utterly masterful.❤️❤️👍👍
I am absolutely mesmerized by Nightwish!! SOOO beautiful & uplifting, what we need in our world today! Thank you, Nightwish, for giving us calm & beauty when we need it!!
Thanks for this really beautiful video... I'm in tears now, it is so necessary in these days... All Nightwishers of the world really greatful for this...
I can't thank you enough for this video! I was sad that Nightwish didn't make a video for this song like it did for others, and your video was perfect, portraying all the music through images! It's a supreme masterpiece!
Hallo friend, wait a little time..Nightwish do by The crow, the Owl and the Dove a fan Video official..(ps it the hardest ,i ever seen) greetings from northern germany
If ever there was an embodiment of "endless forms most beautiful" this is it. Musically and visually. A heart-felt thank you to everyone concerned in the making of this audio-visual masterpiece.
Tuomas should be a professor, a scientist. He's both a brilliant songwriter and deep love for nature and our planet. the Universe. He could be a smart guy just like Hawking, Sagan and all other famous ppl in science and biology. :)
Nightwish actually asked him to do the narration. He answered with handwritten letter but denied. Edit: He said he didn't have time then. Maybe in the future?
Imagine hundred years in the future, human has colonize another planets and some of us live there. Maybe even another solar system. This music and video, is going to be use as a documentation, a memento, a history of our origin planet. And as a remembrance of our journey and evolution, both as a species and as an artist. Damn Nightwish. This is beyond music. Thank you, especially for Tuomas. And for those who make this video, i wish you a wonderful life, for you has made mine.
But, the Haters and Trolls dislike life. Her own is terrible, that they want to destroy everything. They are so poor and stupid. Greetings from northern Germany
@@ralfmeyer9086 I won’t say that they are stupid but poor indeed. They are victims of life and the dark side, mankind created. Greetings from southern Germany my fellow friend. ;)
everything about this documentary that Tuomas Holopainen put together and anyone else who helped out here what an absolutely stunningly powerful documentary footage of the natural world there is something to be said about this kind of cinematography so epic this is holy smokes i saw the planet earth stuff that the bbc did it was very nice and the blue planet and it was very nice too but this is on a whole other level look at the video shots and camera angles and what you see and experience talk about full spectrum everything you would love to see in a nature documentary about everything we love about this blue planet in our region of the goldilocks' zone of the galaxy. The fact that they did it in 30 mins plus is really something special and i wouldn't be surprised if some folks want to include this with some of their programming the title of this absolutely beautiful colors and sincerity behind this top tier production holy smokes
This is stunning. Both the music and the video. I've long appreciated Tuomas' skill as a composer, but this just confirms that he's world class. I will be buying the album, for sure, once I get a new job. Unemployed because of this pandemic, and looking for a new job. Once my financial situation improves, I'm buying this album.
This along with the music video for The Greatest Show on Earth have to be some of the absolute best fan music videos I have ever seen for any artist. This is a masterpiece. Congratulations.
I'm legit crying from all the beauty. This is one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen in my life. I wish I could travel to all those forests and mountains just to see them with my own eyes. The music and images work so well together. Thank you for this video. Please don't mind me, I'll go and cry some more because I cannot handle all the emotions.
What beauty. This is a masterpiece. If Chernobyl had taught us anything it is that Nature will always find a way. Just as now is the passing of one age, another will rise.

I´m a really fan of Nightwish since 1999 and for me this large song (or disc) is the best piece of music of the band! Despite not being a conventional song with drums and in the usual Symphonic Metal style, it conveys much more, even than «Everdream» or «Love Ghost Score». (In my humble opinion). And all the visuals used for this video make it a perfect masterpiece!
Great musicians. Great human beings. Talent in every fiber of their being. If every human put this much effort to really appreciate and care, we would be perfect. I want to kiss the forest floor when I see the beauty of these images 💘
I watched David Attenborough's "A life on our planet" on Netflix today and found it quite heartbreaking so it's quite fitting i find this not long after. Definitely worth a watch, but anyway... This.... The video does the music justice, and they both capture so well, the beauty of the natural world and this is a brilliant window to see it through.
One of the most beautiful things I've ever seen. I come back to this video when I'm feeling like the world is too much or when I'm feeling inspired. Gratitude always overcomes me, recognizing what a beautiful planet we live on, and how everything is in its proper place. In proper flow - and if we just stop "fighting" the current, we can be like this too. This piece of art should be played on big screens worldwide - to remind people why they are here. No need for frequencies of negativity. We came here from Love - and we will return to that same source once we pass on. Everything is energy. Everything is cycled by Nature. Make the most of it. Live your dreams. Figure out who you are - and reach for the Stars. You are worthy by all means - regardless what you've been told, what you've been through. You "made it". Make yourself.
This is absolutely mindblowing!! All these majestic landscapes combined with the music makes the experience just so much better. I can't image how many hours of work it took to gather all that top notch video material, edit everything to perfectly fit the music and maintain the same unbelievable quality from the very first second to the end. I'm sure Tuomas would love the result - how could anyone not to. A hell of a start for this channel! I hope you'll get all the recognition you deserve for this video as it's truly a masterpiece.
