I'm NEW to NW and a recently NW Army recruit, there is NOTHING bad by these guys to date I've heard NOR do I think they can release anything bad... And Floor... I get Floorgasisms! I've experienced Tarja and Floor so far, next I need to listen to the 2nd singer they had and get a impression on her compared to Tarja and Floor, Floor to me is the best so far! Floor with NW, After Forever and Solo, WOW!

I think this may have been suggested (quite a bit) but please do the long song, The Greatest Show On Earth, live @ Tampere 2013 (make sure it's Tampere, 21 minutes of greatness, it's an amazing version). It will blow you away. It's almost a theatrical performance but it will make you emotional at the end. Excited to see you react to it! Thanks!

Oh, and btw, it is Tampere 2015, not 2013 - it hadn't been composed in 2013, so I think potterhead321 had a finger-slip there. It was the grand finale of the show - also the first time that Floor's parents had attended a Nightwish show, and she said in an interview it was particularly nerve-wracking as she had to be sure not to look their way as "it's hard to sing properly with a lump in your throat". Also, look out for 3-part vocal harmonies. The director doesn't show all 3 singers as well in that performance, but the spectacle is mind-blowing - you will be amazed at what can be triggered by MIDI tracks and used as a musical instrument. To get the best from the lyrics, you may want to read up a little on evolutionary biology, because every line is packed with references - even the titles of the 5 movements! @@itsyourgirlkat I consider it their masterpiece, but it is sophisticated and based on a very excellent book on evolution. There are terms used that few people understand like: "LUCA" (Lost Universal Common Ancestor); Goldilocks Zone (the area within a solar system where life can exist) - so an example: "Lonely farer in the Goldilocks zone" is referring to Earth traveling around the sun. "Little Lucy" is the oldest remains found of a primate that is considered to be a predecessor of the human race. See what I mean? Following the heat you took for "The Poet and the Pendulum" - just wanted you to understand that the song is the story of evolution from the Big Bang to the end of mankind. Just trying to have your back. When you finish the Tampere version, click over to the Wembley version where the author, the brilliant Richard Dawkins, makes an appearance at the very end to quote Charles Darwin. It was the first concert he had attended and he says he enjoyed it quite a bit. It's a life changing experience ... I purchased five of Dawkins books. Stay true to you!!

More! Try look up Floors journey in the Dutch TV show beste zangers from 2019, I would recommend the versions from Jenniezelf as there are subtitles and a little introduction from the singers why they choose a particular song. Adds a bit up to the emotions. If there is one program that's makes this adult male cry then it's this one. Floor was amazing there versatile in genres and languages. She mailed every song and let the other singers looking in awe as they were noticing they were in presence of someone truly amazing.

Another fantastic reaction! Glad you're liking the band. I've been a fan since they started. It took forever, but I finally got to see them live in 2018. Absolutely the best performance I've ever seen from any band of any genre. It was perfect. Please don't hesitate to see them live if you get a chance. Absolutely spot on from you of the interaction between the band and the audience, it's just shows what is special about this band, the appreciation shows both ways, and that's not always happening with the other popular bands, unfortunately. #it'syourgirl.....you really can't go wrong with anything Nightwish has done, as far as I can tell. I really have to admit this song is one of my all-time favorite songs...ever. I have been listening to " hard rock / heavy metal " since I was 8 years old...back in 1965! I have listened to the great bands from the 1960's all the way to today's heavy metal bands! I have my favorites, and to be honest, I hadn't heard of Nightwish until last May. After listening to a few songs....I thought, how in the heck has the US Marketplace ignored Nightwish? Then I started looking for other groups in the same genre...and there's plenty more! So...I am listening to Within Temptation...going through their music as well as discovering more of Nightwish. Well...keep up the excellent reaction videos.

Floor Jansen trained Noa Gruman for 2 years in vocal training. If you listen to the music of Scardust with their song Dials or any of their songs you can hear alot of Floor Jansen in Noa Gruman.
You really can't go wrong when reacting on Wacken 2013 setlist. Many think it's 1 of all time best concerts by NW. But In Buenos Aires they had some fun, I want my tears back is good, and Slaying the dreamer, In Wembley setlist has also pretty much all song "worth"(Like they aren'totherwise hehe) of listening.

Marco, I know the reasons you left the band and I understand them, but, the band while still good will never be as great without you. I hope things can be redone, repaired so you in your 50's can come back. You have so much yet to give to us your loyal fans.
