Nightwish - Ghost Love Score - Floor & Tarja Duet 

if i saw these two women singing this as a duet on stage i would die knowing i have lived a fulfilled life

People, why are you comparing water to fire and argue which is better? The magic Tarja gives the song, or the passion Floor puts in it? I don't care, I love both. Just enjoy the versions that two of the most significant singers in sympho metal give to you.

When they’re singing “together” my mind explodes. Just incredible. Love them both.

I watched this three times today....XD Both of these ladies are phenomenal, and hearing them together is simply magical. I love how both of them have their own way of bringing life to the song, and in each version, you hear a different emotion. With Tarja's you can truly hear the intense sorrow and longing in her deep, beautiful voice. It really hits something deep in my heart. With Floor's, you hear the more passionate side. You can feel the mix of sadness and anger, and that ending, wow. Blows me away every time. In my opinion, this, right here, is the best version of Ghost Love Score. You can feel the different emotions with both interpretations, and that creates a sort of wholeness to the song. Both versions are fantastic, but together, it blows my mind.

I gotta say, Ms. Jansen had me Floored.

Funny that Tarja already left the stage while Floor was just about to sing her (selfmade and awesome) signature notes of the song. Quite the contrast :) Sidenote: The fact you could mix these two performances together shows Nightwish's drummer is tight as hell, right on the clicktrack.

I always thought that this song was made for Tarja, but hearing this version with Floor a couple of times, they both have the voice for it. No doubt about it that Floor put's her everything in it and makes it a powerful song, and Tarja just sings it effortlessly as if it is an easy song for her. Tried it myself and I'm nowhere near both of them, so I give both of them props and making it an absolute pleasure to listen to both of them. Now I really want them to actually sing live together!

Brilliant video! Thank you, you have shown us a glimpse of the dream where these two amazing singers perform as a duo with Nightwish, that would truly be perfection. To many of those who have commented: it is not a competition! When two singers have beautiful but different voices, one does not have to be better than the other... they both contribute their own beauty to the song, together they make it more beautiful than either of them can alone.

My two favs female vocals I love Floor and i love Tarja.... But NOWAY, Tarja is Tarja... Floor did a really nice work singing that music but...i don't know, just Tarja can bring that feelings

Floor has a good and beautiful voice, you can't deny it if you listen to her perform the band's songs. The birth of the band is already historic in itself and once an incredible combination of Sara's combination of two musics. It bit and hit the crowd like carbon monoxide. When you listen to Tarja's and Floor's voice in a duet like this, you can only say that the original wins and Tarja's voice is so clear and pure. Putting aside the her vs her bullshit for a second, I have listened to most of the Tarja and Floor "duet" videos and did anyone notice how good it sounds when soprano Metal and Classical are used in harmony? Anyone know any bands that have a classical soprano and a balls-to-the-wall metal queen that share vocal duties?

Tarja and Floor, both world class singers ... and it's hard to imagine the metal scene without them. Tarja more in the direction of operetta singing and Floor ... She can and does both operetta and rock. Floor has definitely the bigger "range" in her voice. I think with this piece Floor has immortalized herself in all hearts of Nightwish fans. Perfectly realized and even improved. The special highlight at the end of Ghost Love Score always gives me goosebumps.

muy bonita la voz de floor, interpreta está canción a su modo y es bueno, pero en definitiva me quedo con la hermosa voz y elegancia de tarja hay una hermosa delicadeza en Tarja y en esta canción pfffff de verdad que me transmite ese sentimiento de la letra. Las dos son magníficas!!!!

Aqui se aprecia perfectamente la calidad, potencia y variedad de registros de Floor, creo que es el mejor acierto , esta chica vale su peso en oro, superior a todo lo anterior de Nightwish

Floor is hot as fire, matching the band very well, her singing brings more passion in live. But Tarja, her voice is so cold,dark totally opposite of music,which make songs so unique and unforgettable.

I think getting goose bumps can't be controlled. Nothing happens on Tarja's parts and every hair salutes when Floor starts...that tells me what final judgement is handed down. :)

Well, they definitely have different voices and you might find it stupid to compare them BUT watching this made me sure I prefer Floor's rendition of the song because of the the diversity of emotions she gives it. Thank you Pantherapardus2012 for posting!

This duet video made me cry and that means, that both Tarja's and Floor's voices is very good and really matching. I love both and i want to say that this song and with Tarja and with Floor is better in it's own way.

I was always a fan of Tarja and now - I am a fan of them both singing together, complementing each other. Two god given and wonderful voices together with Nighwish - what could one ask for more?

One thing that Tarja doesn't have that Floor makes with perfection IS the agressive tone of her voice!

You can't compare the both of them. There both great singers in my eyes but they have their own style of singing a song. Floor's, high note is just her personal touch to make the song sound better and it does. Just because one sings it differently doesn't mean there a better singer than the other one. It just makes a song more enjoyable to listen to (if done right), espeically for a 10 year old song.

The Floor bit after 9:00... it makes me so thankful I listen to music like this. It always puts me in a good mood!

in my opinion, floor is SO relax when she sings, her face, her bodylenguage, atitude, originality, she is unique and her voice is from heaven, soo sweet and real but powerfull and strong man... she do not need back voice like tarja when she sings, she just do it at her way and herself.... 9:20 is just her spirit and her originality, she is a rock star that rock with her presence.... both beauty but sorry i stay with floor jansen

Floor RUINED the end???? Is this real life? She gave birth to a new and perfect ending. I may or may not have screamed with feels when I heard it. The rest of the song was done true to the original, which I respect MADLY. And that little ending made it more intense and more Floor.

They’re both amazing. I think a lot of times the moment you fall in love with a song it’s hard to get used to a different version. Floor did it for me. I just have a personal preference in that I don’t like the way Tarja holds on to the note, long after the instruments have moved on. But that’s just my musical taste. I like these comparison videos - sometimes they have changed my mind.

I totally agree with you Minja, both Tarja and Floor have a great voice. Tarja and Floor went to the academy of singing, each on different styles. At this point I see Floor as a great follow up for Tarja to bring Nightwish back as we all like them to be. Secondly this video idea was a great way to listen and I am glad this repertoire is back in the concerts again.

I used to love thid band with tarja, with Anette I couldn't listen anymore, but now with Floor the band is great again! The musicians were too great to the second lady, Now with Floor they will be great again. I really hope she can stay in the band. And I still Love Tarja, that's why I listen to her solo songs. It's impossible for me to pick one. Both are tremendous singers. I see Nightwish with Tarja, like Deep Purple with Ian Gilan, and with Floor is like listening to the same Deep Purple in the Califiornia Jam with Coverdale on vocals.
