Hey Ryan, no one can replicate what Tuomas arranges, but I did enjoy the other bands version too, and the voices were great. Love to see you react to Nightwish, but enjoying your Japanese focus too.

I have always loved the mix of Irish / Celtic and rock music. Nightwish only recently released an official live video on their channel of Over the Hills... with a mix of Floor era tour show video from various venues and compiled behind the scene personal photos of the band having fun and being goofballs. They have alot of fun on tour. They live for that. I figured it would be a re-tooling of the Led Zeppelin song from Houses of the Holy. Pleasantly surprised that it's a completely original work.

In this song, I find Floor's voice nice fitting too, as for example in Buenos Aires 2012, pity I couldn't find any video of it other than the "slideshow" version recently released, but that is interresting too (mixed '12 live video with different pictures of the band on tour around whole world and also doing other thigs together - like movind a fridge for a friend :)

Not a bad cover at all, but somehow less. The only thing they have over Nightwish is the dual singers. The nightwish version has Tarya, who kills it, also Emmpu and Jukka add a lot.

It's a tribute song (like 'High Hopes' to Pink Floyd) from Nightwish to Gary Moore's original. (I just hate odinary cover Songs.) Led Zeppelin's 'Over the Hills..' is a totaly different song. The traditional 'Over the Hills..' is from Scotland, dating 17th century. And a totaly different song. R.I.P. Gary...best guitarist ever

Most of the sounds seems dubbed from Nightwish, like the double base, uillean pipes, keyboard , emppu's guitar etc

This is not a Nightwish song, based on an old folk song. To hear a much earlier version try Gary Moore with pipes as with Floor's Nightwish version (with Troy), not keys.If Iron Cross version was Nightwish it would be Tarja (operatic) and Annette(pop) certainly not Floor. There is a Floor version with video of tour. Also Tarja and Floor version.

Hey Ryan. Whenever Nightwish do a cover, they do it well (the Gary Moore version is great too by the way). They took playing this song live up a notch later on, adding Troy's Uilleann pipes.
