this song has some absolutely beautiful rhythmic transitions all around and that allows the flow and she is killing it with her rather fast paced vocals and her energy is incredible
Floor just nails all the songs of nightwish :) and I think when Tuomas created this song and he recorded the original keyboardsolo that he was thinking...shit I'm never going to be able to perform this live! :D cause in all the live versions of this song...not once is he playing the original keyboard solo...wich is damn epic! :) but I have to admit it's one hell of a damn difficult solo...and I understand he doesn't take the risk of doing it live. Still he is the best keyboarder of this planet for me and best songwritter. Nightwish rules!
yes i always tell the same about keyboard solo, it is just so good and hypnotizing in studio version, so catchy and magical:D probably Tuo is too lazy to play, i am sure he can...
Floor's flawless. Tarja probably nailed this song in het own confident one dimensional way of singing. Floor is multi-dimensional and technically one of the best female metal singers of the world!
I think its not fair to compare. Both singers are indeed in a way different style. Lets not debate on taste. Enjoy and listen to the version you like. Cant blame nightwish to still play the song
i like both versions of this song - both Tarja's and Floor's, i mean (sorry, fans, i didn't like Anette's manner of performance AT ALL). but Floor sings it more smooth, but colorfully and passionately at the same time, and Tarja sings in absolute academical way - strongful and deep. so i like Floor's version the most
woohoocares1515 The audio is from a different concert in the US. It was from her first concert so I’m not surprised. She literally had 48 hours to learn the set list.
Ok, I'm probably gonna get downvoted into oblivion, but whoever Floor is. (Sorry people say she's a metal goddess but this is the first time I've heard her) she is HORRIBLE for this song. Tarja hands down. She sings it within it's original intention. Opera/metal mix. Tarja has a very technical voice. Floor? At least here, just seemed like she was winging it. Didn't even come close to the same classical notes Tarja was pulling off with ease.
