ooo wow that was amazing, I'm writing a comment to let you know that I'm here still amazed by it 12 years later. Really impressive. And I mean tje part after 2:55, which in original song is like an ascension of drum music, and now I got an actual proof that these drum melodies can actually be played live at once by a single person
Thanks for the kind words! I still remember when I was learning this song, I had absolutely no idea what he was actually playing during this part - because it does sound like some heavy percussion being layered together or something. So I just made up something that sounded similar. :)
@@SnareSpectre I know what you mean. I did a good investigation when Jukka Nevelainen left the band, and then I went to a concert where Kai just nailed it effortlessly. And this just sounds impossible to play, parts are probably just played over during live shows. An octopus would struggle.
Of course 'I Want My Tears Back' is EPIC! LOVE the whole album of 'Imaginaerum' and 'Dark Passion Play'! Can't wait for your cover, IT'S MUST BE AWESOME! Other than 'I Want My Tears Back', please consider cover for 'The Poet And The Pendulum'. I know it's freakin' long but I know you can so it because you're ROCK!
I agree I want my tears back is awesome but my favourite song in the Imaginarium album is Ghost River that chorus that Marco sings is amazing, cant get enough of it but awesome drum cover dude keep it up.
Hello friend! very good job with that song Nightwish ... I've been following your tutorials for miking drums and truth have been very useful thanks for post them. I am also a fan of Nightwish and I've searched all over the web in forums, torrents and youtube tracks without drums of their songs without success. I would like to ask you the huge favor if you could share this track because it is one of my favorite songs receives greetings and congratulations from Mexico. Continue with the great work
If you're referring to the tom part starting around 3:00, I definitely agree. It doesn't sound like anything difficult, but the way I chose to play it (not sure if it's anything like the original) is kind of an awkward sticking that I'm not used to, so it took some practice for sure!
DUDE!!! YOU. ARE. FUCKING. RAD! THIS IS MY FAVORITE SONG!!! Hope you can do another cover of Nightwish such as 'I Want My Tears Back' or 'The Poet And The Pendulum'...
Have you heard of a band called Amon Amarth if you like them I would appreciate it if did a drum cover for their song called Twilight of the thunder god. Thanks man keep it up!!!!!!!!!
Think you may been a littlw fast in some exchanges, personal opinion, BUT its fuckin awesome played and the sound i might use tomorrow on the big ass stereo, stiff ass sound man
You don't have to be so stiff dude, relax a little, enjoy the song. You're way too focused, specially on 2:59 to 4:05, that's the best part of the song and you don't put any feelings into it. Don't be a robot! Specially not with that set!
Sorry but how you tell "I DIDNT SET"???? You are kidding me???? Brother...If you say you do not have the set indicated, what would you say if you saw my set..... I want have you set for do covers of nightwish.... SO YOU HAVE ALL but you know not explode.... Even with my set Nightwish covers can do only with more 2 cymbals and 1 floor tom
