These artists made a huge impact on my life, at just the right time. I discovered Nightwish when I retired 5yrs ago. Yes, late to the party. But I've been neck deep ever since. At this point it's simply an addiction. Can't wait for the release of Yesterwynde. I really hope the band members are all healthy and happy in their lives. They make so many others feel good, I wish it right back at them.

Kai mentioned this same in Wintersun interview, when he was talking about this coming Nightwish album, that Tuomas challenged him to play like he would have three arms. I’m really looking forward to hear, on which song it will be, and How does it sound 🙂

I first heard Kai play drums when he was still playing in the Grindcore band Rotten Sound. For those who don't know: there are some old drum videos of Kai with the band on RU-vid that you should definitely check out! Great drummer and passionate about what he does. It's always nice to hear people talk about music.

Kai is such a professional 💖 so methodical, and kind of super human lol he seems to enjoy that "sense of danger" as much as Floor enjoys the challenges that Tuomas throws at them. On another note, knowing there's a "tear-jerking" song coming from Troy made me sigh just thinking about its sound, if it made them emotional, then I'll be crying like a baby while listening to it

Awesome to hear Kai's insight, he's an absolute beast of a drummer. What a man. It's both surprising and hilarious (in the most positive way possible, of course!) that there are still songs that make him struggle and even wonder if he'll be able to play them haha! As someone who knows next to nothing about drumming, I have insane appreciation and respect for drummers' skills, especially when they're so great at what they do.

They show up on any Nightwish video or reaction video spitting their poison. It is so massively annoying!!! Why can’t they stay away from videos of a band they hate so much! I just don’t understand it! They should spend their energy to support Tarja not being mean about everything new the band does. It makes me so damn angry 😡

They are pathetic. 20 years of their life... wasted on such an empty hope. If i sometimes have doubts about having used my precious time here constructively - only one look at them, and the thought vanishes. Maybe they are like mosquitoes - a lot of buzz, but so little to live for. Except: at least the mosquitoes have their place in the ecosystem - they're food for birds.

I have heard from older fans that many people absolutely hated Marko when he joined the band. They said he ruined Nightwish. Many people also hated the change in musical direction the band started with Century Child. There were lots of similar comments we see today, only the "targets" have changed. :)

Loved nightwish but its a band in freefall lately. Troy being the biggest problem as he shoehorns himself into every track turning it into a folk song. Kai can keep beat, but thats. Hes a rather generic drummer with no energy. Its no longer dynamic, especially live. He just cant keep up.

Noise, Pan, Tribal, Endlessness have no folk whatsoever. Nightwish always have a huge variety of styles on an album.

Noise, Shoemaker, and Tribal are the first songs that come to my mind that have Troy playing and singing in them, and they are no folk songs. :) Fun fact: When Kai played the intro during Human Nature tour the first 4 bars were always the same, and the rest he improvised. He also wrote the whole tribal drumming part in Tribal, and added 5 drums on his set so he can play it. :)
