As we scroll through the comments we feel we need to address something we didn’t notice at the time until later during the editing process of this post as some of you seemed to be upset with us for and that is we did not catch on that Floor was actually the one performing the death metal growls at the time! We Honesty thought it was Marko. And that Just goes to show how Floor is an absolute beast of a vocalist and she has so many levels it’s truly mind blowing. Going forward we will do our best to notice more details with Nightwish as we appreciate all your support as we continue this journey with Nightwish. Love y’all
I figured as much during your reaction but knew you'd find out through others comments. Marko's vocals are gruff enough that he doesn't need to scream or growl. Seven Days To The Wolves please!
It has somewhat become a running gag/comment on most of the reaction videos :) if you want to experience some more of Floor’s growling, check out Revamp - Disdain live at Graspop
Thanks for a great reaction! Just for your reference: the London Wembley Arena is the #1 prestigeous concert venue in the UK. Holds a crowd of the same size as Wachen, 80000+.
Master Passion Greed is their heaviest song but is never played live. PS. All the growling is done by Floor 🙂 PSS: It was the second song of the concert
Many versions of this song(I've seen 3) and none of them show her or Marko clearly during that part. I am thinking the camera person wa told not to do it to keep us guessing. LOL.
@@norair1010, you could always clearly hear Marko singing the higher register, & someone is growling. They didn't mention it all, just saying, no defense required.
After finally seeing them live 5 years ago, I can understand why the audience might get quiet. They can put you in a trance before you know it. And yes, that was Floor doing the growls. 🤘
@@ralfmeyer9086 So funny when npc metal fans aka nightwish fans think growling is something super unique.. listen to some Death Metal and come back. Nightwish fans some of the most unbearable.
Floor is so versatile, she can growl like a man and sing the G5 like a classical singer without any effort. For me she is the best singer of our lifetime.
To be fair, they do have an even heavier song "Master Passion Greed" though they don't perform it live as the subject matter is kind of toxic. I would really recommend you listen to it though, as it demonstrates some more of Marco's vocals with him being the sole singer in that one!!
Hi guys, greetings from UK A great reaction, thank you 😊 Floor was growling in the chorus, maybe that is a part of what you enjoyed? I would recommend the song "Song Of Myself" from Wacken 2013 concert as a song which you may like
Glad you guys are enjoying Nightwish guys! Sorry in advance for the long text, but I hope you read it. I've known the channel for a long time and you know why? Because my school is Thrash Metal. I was a drummer in thrash bands for almost forty years and in all that time I knew about the existence of Nightwish, since its emergence, but I had a big prejudice against operatic vocals in metal, I thought it was too strange. I knew Floor Jansen from the beginning of her career with After Forever, but I also thought her band was pretty average and didn't care enough. Until, during the pandemic, I decided for the first time to give Nightwish a chance by watching a reaction video, and it was Ghost Love Score! I was simply blown away by it. I cried a lot because I couldn't believe how I could ignore a band that became in weeks my favorite band in life, because I consumed everything Nightwish had produced. I cried a lot because they came to my country four times and I simply despised them. This band completely changed my concepts about Metal, and later I discovered that fans of rap, Kpop, soul music and other styles, also became fans of the band, and that is very rare to happen with Metal bands. I think you should also give LOVEBITES a chance, this incredible Japanese all-female band that rescued the spirit of eighties metal in a breathtaking way mixing Thrash with Power Speed metal. Listen to "Set the World On Fire (live in tokio 2021)" or "Break the Wall (live in tokio 2020), just to start feeling the power of these amazing Japanese girls. Anyway, much success to you and once again I'm sorry for the text, but it was from the heart! Greetings!
"Shudder before the beautiful" from the same concert was the show opener. You can do that one. Or "7 days to the wolves", also from Wembley. And then there is ofcourse the best of all show openers: The one from Wacken 2013: "Dark chest of wonders" . All of them pretty heavy.
This one is directed at all those internet trolls who spew their negativity. Theirs is an Empty Hope! BTW - Floor was doing the low growls on the chorus. Marko was taking the lead lines.
Great reaction! Did you pick up on the fact that Floor was doing the death metal growls in the chorus? Next Nightwish song I would recommend Song of Myself live from Wacken or Seven Days to the Wolves live from Wembley.
From what I've heard , Wembley Arena in London holds around 12.5K for concerts. Song #2 here, Shudder Before the Beautiful was the opener. This song, and to a lesser extent, Ghost River at Wacken, are about all you are going to get from Nightwish with Floor's growls. She did more of that in her previous band, ReVamp. Disdain ,live at Graspop 2010 is a good one for that. Fairly heavy, but not quite as much as this one, is 7 Days to the Wolves from this same show. Think you'll also like Weak Fantasy at the Tampere 2015 show.
Hi from the UK 👋 🇬🇧 division of the Nightwish army something you might like from the same concert Nightwish seven days to the wolves live Wembley arena
Floor growls deep, and Marko is the clear Voice. When you hear more, you understand the range of her Voice. More growls from her? Disdain with her Band ReVamp 🤘 sorry, forget, her Opera O mio bambbino caro.
Greetings from Iceland. Thanks for all your great reactions. I especially enjoy your Gojira, Opeth and Jinjer ones, and now Nightwish! Master Passion Greed is considered, by most, to be their heaviest song. There is no live version of it, so you would have to go the studio route. If you want another live one, Weak Fantasy (live at Tampere 2015) is a great song. I recommend these two as your next stop on your journey. Keep it up and keep it metal!🤘
Oglądam relacje na zespół Nightwish nieprzyjaciela męża kolegi ale pani jest pani prawdziwa i teraz odsyłam tego dalej śledzę pani reakcję fakt faktem jestem fanem zespołu Nightwish wy kobietki jesteście naszymi szyja
Or maybe they aren't NPC metal fans like Nightwish fans that have only ever heard one singer growl (Floor). For true metal heads we hear it every day (and also from women) so it's nothing special.
fun or not fact about this song in this concert. marko hietala write his stainless book, when he see his wife first time in audience when this song start ( second song ) he feeling that maybe they married have still hope, but then he falling dark and start thinking that maybe like this song name, they not have. they end they marriage soon when this concert end. thanx to great reaction and have awesome weekend :)
Alright you two the Hardcore 1 here. I came across a band I think you might like. They are Carnal Savagery the songs you should check out are Inhumane Sacrifice and Return of the Rotten Dead. The only way to describe this band is their band name Carnal Savagery INTENSE looking forward to seeing what you think and your reaction I request you check out Return of the Rotten Dead first then Inhumane Sacrifice both both are worthy of one word Brutality.... Much love and respect always....
Hi Guys. Great Reaction. Just so you know, this is Not their heaviest song by far. Master Passion Greed is way heavier, just no video of it. Also, Song of Myself, Poet and the Pendulum, and a few more. I've been watching you guys for a long time because Tool is my favorite Band, but I'm definitely happy seeing you guys do Nightwish. They take some getting used to, but they hooked me a long time ago.
Yeah, on this one thoumas cut floor loose for the chorus. She sang much this style in her previous bands. You should check at least 1 of those songs out. I know ull like it.
Master Passion Greed is their heaviest song, but there is no live version for a list of reasons. Imagine a genius songwritter, someone heavily insults him and his friends, then he writes a full orchestral revenge song about it.
if you like Floor and Marko together, the next song to react should be "7 days to the wolves" from the same show. You may also try"the greatest show on earth ", a 20-minute masterpiece. The Wembley version features Richard Dawkins as a special guest (the whole album was inspired by one of his books), but in my opinion the Tampere version has better visuals and Vibe in general. For more Floor growling check out her previous band, ReVamp 🤘
Want heavy? First listen to "Slaying the Dreamer" (Buenos Aires) and after listen "Master Passion Greed" (heaviest song of NW by FAAAR). Unfortunatelly there is no live show for this song, because Tuomas was so pissed off when he wrote this song that he claims they will never play this song due the hate of the song and he is not that person anymore. You will LOVE IT! But need some research before listening to understand why he was angry and to who was about. Out there is a good edit of the song by Comunidade di Branca
This kind of musical theater is not for everyone. Lots of people like it. But quite a bunch don't. To much distractions and tricks, to much going on beside the music. I still see the hesitations, the awkwardness in this reaction. I understand that because this band performs on a very high professional level which is not always a plus. It makes it even hard to give it any critical notes. If it goes for theatricks Rammstein is the real deal I think. They use a special form of satire, a sort of over the top absurdness that is needed to keep the doubts away. I guess that you've seen and listened to this legendary German band already so I won't recommend them;-) Succes and have fun.
