A F0xy Grampa is always a blast to work with. His knowledge of various characters is incredibly impressive, and his style is unique. Always remember, it’s not about winning, it’s about denying victory.
This is yet ANOTHER grand slam of a guide from DF. More than ANYTHING, I can't wait for the Sheeva guide...and to know that F0xy will be the one to do it... THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!
I agree, this is the best Nightwolf load out. In general, any character with a kommand grab kustom option should equip it, and since the un-amped spirit tracks is a very far reaching low, this fills in a lot of gaps that he'd otherwise have. 5-star guide for sure!
You don't know what you're talkin about this game has had a lot of support from the company this game has had so many DLCs patches and everything it even has rollback
@@JonboyKoi sometimes it isn't because they didn't want to, it's timing and resources, the business side, and they're busy creating the next game without flaws as much as possible. This game has had tons of support from NetherRealms. Sorry you don't see that. AND they suppport tournaments and events held for the game and even donate money and equipment. What more do you want from them? Perfection? To fix your lack of skill? Oh, I'm a developer... can YOU code at all? You should learn and then apply for a job there or create your own game and see how it is. Just some advice.
@@JonboyKoi great reply. :) Logic and common sense makes one a clown, so what does random comments, made up opinion masquerading as fact, and a starvation for attention due to your clear lack of skill make you? I'm very sure I'd rather be a clown. :)
Phenomenal guide. Foxy is well known for being a funny streamer and pro player, but his real gift is his deep understanding of how players tend to behave and his laser-like insight on how to use a character’s abilities to counter that behavior-and of course his clear, accessible, and funny way of describing all of that. 😂 The only part I disagreed with is about some of NW’s strings being “bad”. Yes, b13 and b34 aren’t particularly helpful if you’re playing a very straightforward “hit confirm into launching combo… or throw” style of NW, but they have some useful frame data that make them very helpful for a setup style (moonfall in particular). And of course, yes, f2121 is death on block and shouldn’t be used that way-but it is NW’s highest damage hit confirm string, so that’s at least worth a mention.
I'm seeing it today and I can say it is the best guide I've ever seen for my lovely main. Never enjoyed watching a video this much. Since Nightwolf is not in MK1, imma stick with MK11. Thanks again.
If you use Moonfall as your launcher you can have the command grab and lightning arrow. It’s damage potential is lower but it does cover this setup does technically cover his slot weakness.
I disagree with b132 being bad. The string is -3 on block so you can mash and counter poke a lot of opponents mids or jab strings (which will condition the opponent to have to poke after this string and give up their turn) Also since the string is three consecutive hits and the frames of each move aren’t bad on block, it could be a great stagger string because you could condition the opponent to want to hold block for each hit. The last hit is interruptible but if you’re getting interrupted consistently you’re just being too predictable.
A F0xy Grampa is one of my favorite MK gamers, but I disagree with the notion that Nightwolf's fighting style is "structured that way". I think it's HIS way of using him and it's great, it works for him. I'm a long-time fan of Nightwolf and he's been my favorite since his entrance into the MKU, along with Kung Lao. I use Nightwolf totally differently, a more off-the-cuff way with barely any grabs and split combos, always shaking things up. Same with Kung Lao. Sucks to see not a lot of people using these two fighters in competition.
His spirit tracks rolls and immediately upswings and launches. When I do spirit tracks he hits them in the feet and then up swings. What am I doing wrong?
Late reply but in case it’s still helpful- To get the launcher, you have to equip both spirit tracks AND ancestral hunter, which modifies ST’s amplify behavior. With both equipped, amplify ST while rolling to get the immediate launch. Don’t wait until he hits their feet to amplify (by then it’s too late to launch them).
@@jtglegend989 ps4. I did finally figure out you had to have spirit tracks and another ability equipped but thank you I appreciate you getting back! And if you want to play my tag is king_solace17.
