Compelling, to say the very least; as a probe of the mind and emotions of a great and tortured dancer, one against whom generations of male dancers have been measured, it's a triumph. Nijinsky's mental and physical anguish come through so clearly in this ballet that a viewer would have to be hard-hearted, indeed, not to be moved by this work. Bravo to Mr. Neumeier and to the dancers, bravo.
