During anime expo 2020, I was walking out of the Marriott hotel when all of a sudden Terashima Takuma walked passed me. we almost bumped shoulders. It was packed with otakus and the way I recognized him was by his voice. I’m assuming he was talking with his manager or something but literally after dodging him so I wouldn’t bump into him, I heard his voice and froze. I just stared at him as he went into the hotel and was debating whether or not I should chase him and ask for an autograph. With all the pain in my heart, I decided not to since we were surrounded by otakus. if someone saw him signing an autograph for me, a mob of otakus would consume him for sure. Some kind stranger though asked if I was okay because apparently I was standing in the middle of the sidewalk with my mouth open www I told them who I saw and they immediately started freaking out . Thank God I decided not to do anything. Kanae and Kuzuha are right for being scared. It only took one word for me to recognize a VA. I was nice enough to sacrifice my fangirling urges but you never know when someone scary decides to disrespect your privacy. I hope they continue to be safe

What I realized on the other day when Kanae was streaming his cooking in twitcast was that, I can differentiate his voice in distance and when it close to mic and how he was during morning or when he is in high tension.. and it hits me that If I can do that... some other ppl probably thousands could probably do it too.... and I'm worried for him

when kanae said how it was scary to even talk in public it made me realize how distinct both kanae and kuzuha's voices are, it must be so nerve-wracking

it's really hard to go on public if your voice is that recognizable, quite scary to imagine if they we're really recognized and exposed, for once this pandemic has helped vtubers feel a little safe from the public's eye, thank you masks!

It's hard to eat together with your closest friend and not talking at all because someone might overheard your voices and worst is to immediately know who you really are!

There would always be a price of the fame yet it isn't what you look like, especially Vtubers I will always hope for the best for them, publicly and privately; and hopefully the fans would respect their privacy

Must be really tough to not speak because you don't want to be recognized. Yeah mask is truly the best thing you can wear to hide your face, thanks to the *current world event,* we all can hide our face without being suspicious xD Lesson learned if you want to accidentally meet Kanae or Kuzuha never talks about Vtubers in public or even wear their merch, like Kanae said when he's on train lol

Compared to nijisanji girls (except some with unique nuances such as Himawari and Sasaki), Nijisanji boys' voices are very easily recognizable. And the fact that their voices might not change much on and off screen do make me understand their fears of being noticed. Fame do comes with a price, hm

just from looking at the title i can already picture them eating their food and staying quiet and making an eye contact to eachother www

awe i feel so bad for them just being in public must be so stressful

What I love about vtubers is that they hate being famous in real life.

That must be really stressful... especially since Kanae is known for not changing his voice at all when he streams and I think they said kuzuha only changes his voice very minimally...

Imagine being a worker at a restaurant/department store etc and not knowing you have met your favourite vtubers in your daily life at such places. The pain of us fans.

Well for the normal fans if you ever recognize a voice just ignore it ! its probably hard not to but its for the sake of their privacy ok 😁👍

All I can hope is everyone tacitly agree that we'll pretend not to know who they are if we ever recognise their voices...

and the fact that they were together too... recognizing one of their voices is like "ok maybe..." but if both of them were to talk together it would be a dead giveaway how scary

i think that no matter how much u like them, if u notice them in public then its best not to call them out. because we’re not just fans of normal celebrities etc. we’re vtuber fans and we’re not supposed to see their real self it might be hard but if u do happen to meet one then pls try ur best just to pretend not to know them :)

I'll definitely identify who's talking even if it's quite far away from me. If it's Kanae, I'll probably walk right away without stealing glances, at the same time try not to squeal in public LOLOLOLOL XD

When I tell you that my soul would've left my body if I somehow found out I was sitting near a couple of (my favorite) vtubers while talking about vtubers?? They wouldn't have to worry about their identity being found out bc I'd die right then and there from the shock 😂😂

i totally get them. i can recognize people by just how they cough or maybe sneeze. and it's totally scary i can recognize them 💀 i make it a note to not even make any noises around people so they wouldn't recognize me..

Now im worry when they said they wanna go on a trip :(. this is so stressful omg.

Some of the vtuber voices are really easy to distinguish because the way they talk is unique, just like with kanae. Also if you've been watching them for awhile, it will be easy to spot them irl. That must've been so scary ww I can just imagine their reaction

They're voice is really recognizable One time I was watching a most watch valorant plays then i recognized kanae's voice. I was like this person's voice is really familiar i've heard it somewhere then i looked at sage name and guess what it's kanae playing with spygea

i cant imagine having to continuously be quiet everytime you go out hanging out with friends and stuff... man must be tiring

i have been kpop stan for years and i can recognise idols just from their breathing and im starting to develop it with vtubers to, its weird and it does happen. If i have that ability others may too and im scared for the vtubers security because of that
