Further Notes This year's Koshien draft actually peaked at 209K, so it actually went over 200K this year, which is just astounding. Some interesting pickup from the lottery stage As mentioned Hana and Rosemi entered into Lize, which meant Ange might get the love she wanted during the draft after all. Enna and Reimu will be buddies in VR West, also an interesting pick is Sho and Rou. Rou famously became Deron's dog during his first Minecraft stream and Sho has been Rou's partner since VTA days, so Deron is likely to play with those two. Nothing really pops out for Shiina's team except there are a lot of my favorites there (Kana, Aia, Layla, Roco, Reza, Millie) P.S. - I forgot about the Millie/Maimoto connection. Thanks for the reminder, kind stranger, that was a great Nijisanji moment. Nui gets Yun, which will pair nicely with Nari. She stole Aki, which is good. And she adds a dragon Elira, but also the future Riri, which I guess will now make the story into more of a fusion isekai fantasy? Well, I guess that's pretty cool. Rika manages to strike empty, only netting Kagetsu from '23 and Akira from VTA. Dola is in a nice place though, she has her daughter and her genmate (Kyoko) as well. And I guess a fellow horned drink buddy in the form of Mikoto as well. Toya has apparently taken the Kuzuha role, with eight of the members being once part of Kuzuha's Team (Toko 21, Gilzaren 22, Shiba 21/22, Kokoro 22, Riksa 21, Seffyna 21, Luca 22) Seffyna and Sera is a good combo, and Toya manages to nab one more loli in the form of Emma August during the lottery, also he was piqued by the Q in Yu Q Wilson... Yashiro has interesting pairs - Suha/Nagi, Aster/Scarle, Kotoka/Doppio... also addition of Levi and Genzuki really makes this team more of a ProSeca team than a baseball team. Seriously though, there is no powerhouse other than Chaika and Doppio(?) Leos decided to bail on his genmates, picking Lain as his last declared pick. He gets Oliver anyways, completing the three set. Hajime/Kanda/Bonni(?) is a nice trio of gentlemen, two of selejo as well (Kohaku/Hisui). P.S - Oh! Don't forget Kagami/Jiyu pair! Ibrahim meanwhile is more suited for APEX, not only he got Lauren/Kanae/Ars/Chii-chan but just to nail the post down, he nabs Selen as well, and considering Crow is playing APEX as his first outside collab, maybe he might be included as well. Of course, if the APEX thing doesn't work, he has Ryushen and Kirame so he can pivot to Mahjong. Muyu/Seraph is an interesting pair. Hiba actually has really nice lottery picks, three heroes (Imami Rai/Usami Rito/Bandage) and former one (Etna), Hex the healer, Finana/Pomu is a dangerous combo especially with the addition of Maria, Tomoe replaces Kana for the Tulip-gumi trio and also friends with Luis as well, and Alice rounds off as the mischievous rabbit girl. Yeah, this gels really well.

29:21 I think the reason Yashiro picked Claire (other than as fellow SEEDs member) was because a while back ithe played PawaPro with Debi watching him while creating the characters. He has Claire as a member of his team and when creating Claire, they fantasized Claire as an ex-yankee and her former classmate would call her "Anego" whenever they met Claire (probably because of her new outfit at that time). Then while looking at the stats he noticed Claire's smartness was E and he said "She's an ex-yankee after all" a few times and Claire apeared in his comment and "angry" about it. 5:40 for context: Lize and Ponto Nei have been friends ever since the "Sanbaka X Ranunculus". They got paired together and Ponto somehow ended up becoming the "Nei Dragon" protector of Helesta (and also just Lize's pet). Mana is someone who she has both helped as a senpai but also got helped by during the Mahjong tournament, leading up to them getting really far in the tournament.

As for region draft - Iwate was contested because Ohtani "clone" could join the team. Rest of the regions have high chance of "clones" of good players too, especially Mie, Miyazaki, Tottori and Kanagawa - there are a lot of good pitchers there (in relation to other positions) which are crucial for good 3 year eikan nine run. Osaka was chosen by Deron because she is from VR Kansai, it is one of the toughest regions to play the game because of many strong teams. Keep up the great work man!

Oooh, nice breakdown of the draft. It’s hella funny and helps tie things up together, both for peeps who are deep in NijiJP rabbithole and those who aren’t. Also just to add in timestamp 41:47, Kanato and Tarai’s friendship stretches way back even when they are in VTA. All of Volta and Ranunculus were close friends since they’re the pioneer batch but it was Kanato and Hibari who hit it off well, and is pretty evident until now.

i think why deron picked rena because rena respects deron or they both just close to each other. in vsaikyou last season where deron was with shirande, deron made fun chat that she wanted to get cheered (it was because aqua got cheered on apex tourney chat log from shiina i think) and rena is the first who cheered her while others just made fun of her (in a fun way ofc), especially miyako. even when deron replied them with "kasu" rena still gave her smiley face emote while other was scared
