This isn't meant to be a knock against the girls but in the big picture, without Azzi, we're a better than average team at best. All a team has to do is play tight pressure D against us and we always struggle to score with lack of movement and really no natural scorers other than Lou. With Azzi, we're a very good team because with Azzi and Lou, the floor is now spread creating many more opportunities. I know this will not happen obviously, but if Paige was healthy, which would give us the greatest player in the game who's also a natural scorer, Azzi and Lou. In U Conn history we've never had a 3 headed monster like that from the perimeter on the same team. Every game would be over before it even started. But since we won't have the luxury of those 3 together, which really is a shame, because it would be fun watching Notre Dame and Maryland getting spanked by 40 after witnessing their post game celebrations after beating our practice squad by just a few points, if we stay healthy we will have a shot winning the whole thing once Azzi is back in playing shape.
I felt that the last quarter that the girls wete tired, but they held on. I love watching UConn because they bare more than a team it shows by how they interact together. They are more than a team they are friends and they truly care about each other. Cannot wat to see Azzi back, but it sure was great to see Dorka and Nika back. I love to watch Aliyah play she brings a lot to the game. Look forward to each game. GO UCONN!!!

Her fouls change the dynamics of the team!!! Even though Caroline plays well she is not Aubrey... and part of the Gunho attitude is the fouls that can happen, she does cause this effect!!! Just imagine Nika at the point, Paige playing off the ball (Lou's spot), Azzi on a wing with Aliyah and Dorka upfront, with Lou, Aubrey, Caroline, Ice, Ayana, Amari and Ines off the bench!

That freshman on Florida state was awesome, but luckily her defense was lacking and she fouled out! They will be a dangerous team during tournament time. They are a underrated team at 11-2. We are lucky we won. Go Huskies!

I moved nobody up! The refs suck all over the league. Rankings mean nothing come tournament time. Every win has to be earned. I expect a lot of upsets this March! Go huskies!
CD is not only the best assistant coach ever but also has an unbeaten record for every single game over the years in which she had to be the head coach when Geno was not available to be the coach.
This team is committing way to many turnovers which keeps a good team in the game like Florida state. They definitely need to get smarter when trying to make passes. Glad to see Nika and Dorka back. They make a big difference especially Dorka with her blocks. I don't know why Aubrey can't be consistent. She just needs to play her game and not force anything. The same goes for Caroline. Great win. Nice to see the team getting healthier. BUT, what is it going to take to eliminate so many turnovers???!!! This has been a chronic problem this year and so many of them have been just ridiculous turnovers……low IQ plays, throwing the ball to non-existent players, forcing passes that just aren’t there, too many silly traveling violations, etc…. 😖. The huskies are easily out shooting their opponents percentage-wise every game, but 20+ turnovers per game limits your possessions and shot attempts. Those turnovers are costing this team 10-20 points per game. These close games should all be massive blow-outs!!!!! If this team can manage their turnovers to a reasonable number, all of a sudden this team becomes a juggernaut!!!!!
Long time UConn wbb fan. I was at the game and thought it was one of the worst UConn women's game I've ever seen. Sloppy, poor passing, bad perimeter defense especially in the second quarter. Would love to hear what Gino has to say about the game off camera.
UCON has so many injured players and Beckers will be out for the year so of course they will be sloppy at times yet with all these problems they still have won most ot their games and they will improve as time goes by and if all the injured players return and stay healthy they will have a great season. And they may have been sloppy but they did win the game against a strong opponent. And congratulations to Chris Daly --ever being an assistant coach, in every game in which she had to do the coaching the team has won. Don't be so negative. Most teams if they lost so many players to injuries would have a much worse record. I think that Gino will do is to iron our some of the kinks in their practice sessons.
