Reaffirming its regional supremacy, Team Philippines captured the Nike 3 on 3 Asian Championship over the weekend, sweeping its assignments at SM Megamall.
The Filipinos clobbered Malaysia, 15-9, in the finals to earn an all-expense paid trip to Los Angeles where they get a chance to watch an NBA game between the Lakers and Portland Trailblazers.
Toti Almeda and Magnum Membrere combined for 14 points to lead the Filipinos to a rousing title retention victory.
Almeda was later named MVP and joined Membrere and Malaysian Idham Khalid in the Mythical Three.
The other members of the team coach by Ato Badolato are Arjun Cordero and Vin Velasco.
