The reason they released these I. Women’s sizing is for the history. The og release of these were the red pair for men, the royal blue release was for women. Makes the story cooler in my opinion
I grew up seeing a very specific group of people whose style I didn't like wear stinky dirt caked Air Max every day, every single one of them. I still remember it only took one sight of a sick outfit for me to realize how cool these shoes actually are! They need to keep pumping out more iconic models like they used to. The ones you've got one are SICK btw.
Picked up a pair of these, very happy they were pretty easy to get and look amazing. I was torn between these and the air max day royal blue / volt. Glad I went for the OG. 🎉
I have the volts they sat for a little while in the UK. Extra differences are volt end lace tips, volt on edge and reverse of tongue and different insoles with a padded square Nike logo
Man I actually can’t even hate the cubbies. As long as it’s not Cards or Brewers I’ll be alright with it. For us Pirates fans all we need is a season above 500.
Love air maxes but don’t have any in the collection that’s definitely gonna change my favourite baseball team is the Red Sox however my father was from Chicago and he loved the Cubs and I have a great memory calling him to tell him they finally won the World Series he was very happy. -Kara
I’m going to see the Red Sox play the Pirates on April 21st with a group of friends! I have a friend who is a huge Cubs fan and he was so happy when they finally won the series. 😊
Nice, but I’m sticking with the Og deep royal blue and Chilly 2.0. without the bum if bubbles. I don’t like how the bubble get crushed down and will eventually breakdown. I think that’s why they change the design back when this came out.
I’m also tired of Nike just changing something minor with their classic shoes and over doing it and killing the shoes. Instead of just putting out some new classic sneakers . It’s kinda killing the collectors when everyone has the shoes or close to it and making it for the mass market vs like before and feeling like you had something others didn’t have, Og sneaker collector here since 95.
Yeah, I have a wide foot and went TTS. They definitely fit snug initially bc I have wide feet, but they loosen up a little so TTS is perfect for me. If you want extra space then go .5 up from usual size.
At that point we could just drop the whole mens/womens thing, hurts so much when a sick womens pair isn't in my size. Isn't the point of splitting it in 2 genders to market by the numbers and be efficient with production? Just drop it entirely if you're gonna go against that to make an ineffective statement. Idk, probably just trying to market to people who buy into it, to be an ''acceptable'' brand, but I can't picture it really making a difference, just a company appearing corporately out of touch and vapid as usual. Women who wanna wear men's stuff will continue to do so just fine and the inverse is also more and more common, the whole point is they're not limited to what is typically or officially for their gender to begin with. There are cases where it's nice to see stuff that isn't typical to a gender on that gender's aisle: The way clothes are tailored to our body-types and how we wanna present them. My sister likes oversized, but not necessarily the stuff tailored for a more typical man's body, stuff in that style but for women is a safer bet and I love seeing those options. (While also understanding big brands aren't gonna focus on that unless enough people provide the market for it) Sneakers though? This doesn't apply.
