The Nike Air Max 1 is the shoe that laid out all of Nike's design elements moving forward. When the shoe came out in 1987, the visible air unit was controversial. No one had ever seen anything quite like it. To this day the Nike Air Max 1 is one of the most popular and iconic sneakers on the market. I've always had Nike Air Max 1 (87's) going back to the late 1980's. I currently have a couple of pairs in my collection at present. Couldn't care less about the air bubble in the sole. I just love the look and the flow of the design. Ingenious!

Probably my favorite shoe of all time. I just live the shape and the design. You can wear them with pretty much anything and it’s in my opinion the most timeless shoe with the AF1. The first of its kind and the beginning of the coolest shoe brand ever.

I fell in love with the swoosh primarily because of Big East basketball in the early-80s. Georgetown, Syracuse, & St. John's provided not only some of the most legendary players in college history, but also some of the most iconic colorways of early Nike staples such as Dunks, Vandals, & Air Force II's. When the air bubble hit the scene, that solidified the life-long love affair!!!

You should make one of the Air Max Classic. This shoe became very populair in my country the Netherlands when it was embrased by the 'gabbers' subculture in the 90's. Everyone here danced to hardcore in their Australian training suits and wore the Nike Air Max Classic.

1987 was when Air Max 1 and AJ3 came out both designed by Tinker. It can be argued that he saved Nike. Similar to Jonathan Ive in Apple, Tinker’s design influenced Nike’s growth.

i never own air max before in fact 5 years ago when my friend bought air max 90 shoes i thought its ugly asf, after my first pair of air max 1 i fell in love they are hella comfy almost like my fav shoes of all time "New Blance" , now i just bought air max 1 although now i feel like air max 90 wasnt that bad too, perhaps in the future ill buy a pair of AM90 and 95 97 and 98 at least 1 each, waiting for a dope pair to release.
