It's painfully hard to get the retail pandas as they sell out almost immediately and so it's a blessing being able to get this colorway through nike by you, plus the quality is better :).
pandas are terrible so 100% would recommend the nike by you way better quality and will last you longer than the pandas but im pretty sure resellers would claim otherwise
@@markow2280 recently nike has been strict on regions where retailers aren't allowed to ship outside their regions, they won't break this rule themselves so you'll have to reship it through a third party.
Honestly this was a great idea by Nike, you get slightly better quality and you don't have to pay some piece of $h!t reseller for a shoe that you have wanted but didn't want to or couldn't afford resale for. It's a win for Nike and the consumer. They need to do this with all of their models including Jordan 1s and Jordan 4s, let us make customs of existing colorways and Nike gets all the profits from it and the resale market goes bust.

I’ve made the panda’s, chicago, kentucky and syracuse dunks. 100% worth it if you are able to get the chance to make them. Not easy at all. I like that you can make a women or mens version. Saves you thousands in resale on these specifically.
Just bought a pair of Nike by you (because resale for retail would’ve run me $350 cad vs $180). And I was sceptical it would’ve been a knock off of the original in terms of quality. This video made me pleasantly surprised. Thank you!
I'd say the customisation options like the custom colourblocking and heel embroidery are more of a draw than just overall leather quality but for an extra $15 it's definitely worth it in my eyes.
Great break down. I prefer higher quality materials wherever you can get them and a $15 premium is well worth it over the plastic. Nike, you created a win win for your sales and customers bypassing the secondary market!
I just hope that the dunk low by you hits US market with enough pairs so that I can make a pair and checkout. I’m tired of ppl copping the base designs on the by you stuff and then proceeding to try and flip them, it defeats the whole purpose of the concept. I crafted some AM1s when they dropped the unlocked by you for US and am extremely hyped for those, but just barely made the checkout by seconds.
If it's anything like the global version, then it will sell out fast but slots will reopen every day. So no need to rush, just make your choices and if it sells out before checkout you can just keep checking back. The listing stays there even when it's sold out for the day so you can tweak your designs whenever you want ready for a fast checkout.

I like the leather on the Nike by you. I prefer that tumbled leather vs. the leather on the retail. Plus, it is VERY difficult to purchase the retail version. I'd rather pay that little extra.
Smh jeez..the crappy leather on the Blazer 77, which I happen to not mind much, seems a lot better than the crappy leather on the retail dunk. And people pay $300+ for them? Might as well wear a piece of Tupperware on your foot. Crazy.
Nike by you is way better. It does fit narrower so size up if you have wide feet. The leather is softer and looks more premium on most of them as I’ve ordered a few. The downside is that it is often out of stock in either the colours you want or the sizes, so you need to keep checking. The colours are also limited but overall it’s worth it!
25$ cad mark up, if you numbers are correct just copped a Nike by you panda (well ordered) and a pair of high pandas (no the by you option) we shall see the difference
@@mystyflyYT Fair point. I just based it on feedbacks from others. I do have Jordan 1s which is very similar with dunks so somehow I can compare. 550s also have ortholite insoles which helps with the cushioning. But don't worry I'll try it soon enough. Cheers mate.
It’s available now here in Singapore but the tongue lining has no option to make it black, basically the tongue is all white which is kinda off in my preference. Still contemplating to get one as it has limited time only.
Sean, did you by chance watch Rose Anvil's video on the Panda Dunks? I actually had no idea about how easily they creased, really dug his input on the leather quality of the retail dunks
The Panda GR just resales while NBY doesn't command much resale which is quite strange considering the latter is better quality. In the end OGs are more on demand, with OG nike box and you dont have to wait for 4 to 5 weeks for NBY being shipped.
The hype got me and i bought the Pandas today even though i know they have horrible quality. They restocked at my local Nike. But i wish i had seen this video before, because Pandas 'Nike by you' are only $10 aud more here in Australia, totally worth it.
I’ll always have hate for Panda’s. I don’t have to explain why cuz y’all should know why. Also since I work at a sneaker boutique, it’s one of the most FAQ and it’s irritating. Sorry not sorry, I just can’t stand seeing these on feet anymore

Its funny that Nike told me to go half size down for my Nike Dunk By you. I opted for half size down according to Nike fit and it fits perfectly. Nonetheless, great review as always Sean!
Wished i half size down on it. Mine arrived and it runs big. Had to wear thick bb socks for good fit which i prefer not to due to weather. I prefer to loose lace so would go down half a size next time
I still have my dunk highs from over 10 years ago when it was Nike ID, not Nike By You, and they are by far the best quality dunks I have ever owned. The leather is buttery soft. It seems like they used to do better laces and lining with them back then. The lining on mine is silky smooth navy blue to match. They also used to let you choose the color of the tag on the tongue. Mine is navy with white logo.
What size do I get for dunk lows? I’m 9.5 in Air Force 1, Jordan 11 low, & New Balance. I’m TTS 10 in Nike such as the Nike Air Max, VaporMax, Sacai Waffle.
If you built the Panda NBY with white sock lining you pretty much copy the Panda low Next Nature GR with the exveption of the leather tongue. Tongue Tag ang insole is an exact copy with NBY option. Amazing.
Just made a pair and ordered, I am in Australia, besides the tag on the shoe tongue is white instead of black everything else looks the same. Can't wait to see the quality of these shoes as I never owned a pair of dunks, shitty resellers are selling them for $550 AUD here in Australia, there are even resellers on websites selling Nike made by you version of Panda for $320lol they went by 'made by (the websites name)'... I spent $170 AUD including shipping can't wait!
Man idk what to do. I'm a 9.5 in forces but my blazers i went 10 cause the 9.5 felt a bit tight. I have wider feed. Not sure if I should go 10 on the NBY.
It's definitely more wise to pay for the custom ones than resell ones since not only the resell price of those pandas are more but also have shittier quality. Lol

Honestly one of the main reason why I feel the pandas are overhyped is specifically how crappy the material quality on the retail pair is. I'd much rather pay a little premium for better materials
I hate Nike.. They lost my Nike by you dunks last year and customer service still didn't get back to me. They took six months to refund. Still didn't get my compensation. I didn't make them in panda as it wasn't possible back then..
