correction the last pair with the og mold was the 2004 all black pro foams. I have them as well. Then there was a 2 year wait as the new mold was developed and the first foam with the new mold was the 2006 Dooms.
Good lookn on video. Always wanted a pair since I was a kid and couldn't afford them back in 97 so now I copp them every time a new color comes out since 07. I love the shoe
So I imagine that the mold for the 97s are harder than the "molds" for the current foams, because my eggplants feel harder than my pinks. I think Nike just uses plastic now instead of actual "foamposite" material.
@mlmx23 Do you have a problem hearing? I'm pretty sure SneakerDave said the OG molds were destroyed meaning the new molds can't give the same exact mold but the can make it close to the og.
I wasn't too big of a fan of the foamposites but these are nice. Nice review SD lol and those initials makes me think of my older brother Supa Dave. Ironic isnt it?
I havent got a pair yet but my best friend owns a whole rack of them.. and he play ball and everything in them and they are still in good shape... the most you will worry about is...maybe the bottom sole rubbing away from long wears and the sole will turn a yellow like color
Thanks for the comparison among releases. Difficult to find an up close look, especially between the 97 and 2007 releases, which are narrower in height compared to later releases. All the blue hues are different. I prefer the ice gel of later ones, but none of them have the unique ridges of the OG 1997 release. Even the blue stands out still. History: the aura at its debut when I was in middle school was mysterious. Hardly anyone but my friend, it seemed, owned a pair perhaps oweing to the audacit to cost $180. As my friend said, wearing them and people know you paid that much. Kind of like gucci. Reasons for cult-like release - Priciest shoe release up to date. Jordan releases ceilinged at $150 for three consecutive years. - History's priciest shoe was not conferred onto a Jordan, but to a player was saddingly becoming increasingly inactive on-court. - Absence off-court conveys Anfernee "Penny" Hardaway's cool fashion factor in the mid 90s. Really popular point guard still voted to start All-Star games - Discreet Nike Logo compared to the average trend with huge, graffiti art-like swooshes imputed to 80s-90s sneaker fashion (e.g. Air More Uptempo, Rodmans, The Gloves. The sea of wavy blue rippling endless tides speaks for itself ushering new sneaker technology across all Nike athletic departments (think Air Max 97) that deserve subtle branding. It's a more mature, scientific, look.* *the 90s basketball equivalent of the 2020 Nike ISPA Road Warrior. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-PXFrP4VErhQ.html -
Recently picked up some ds og's and I can definitely say that Nike is capable of making a quality retro even 10 years after the og's. The 2011's can't touch either in any aspect (the soles will yellow too give it some time) and this is only 4 years after an awesome retro. Just goes to show what hype can do. Hype=lets maximize profit margins by reducing quality since since they'll sell out regardless
It really funny how people underestimate these sneakers these are literally started as liquid and goes though the process which is over 5 thousand dollars and people are like who would spend 200 dollars for a sneaker but people dont know how hard it is to make these things like o all they do is buy so kind of material worth 2 dollars and overprice it
Brother u doing a good job on commentating about those nike, if only blacks produced there own sneakers, boy what that put a gleam in my smile for u to comment on that.
@MRREALTALK313 MahVeeclothing sells a nice shirt to go with the coppers. its on sale and it looks rlly good. buts in only in a small otherwise look on ebay
@DeanM23 No I heard him. Do you have a problem understanding? Nike/Jordan always changes something on purpose on retro shoes! I just think it would be cool to get an exact copy of an original, screw the collectors!
Read and you'll know who I'm talking to. Before making assumptions trying putting it together. Who's the ignorant shit calling authentic Foamposites fake? Yeah that's who I'm talking about.
