Thanks for your very solid points. The Lebron 20 and 21 give me a feeling that Nike wants to pause and focus its flagship shoes on performance rather than design. Interestingly, Adidas' recent models, the Harden Vol. 7 and the Anthony Edwards 1 are going in the exact opposite direction of bold designs. I think it'll be significant to see how the consumers react to these two different tracks of products from their sales in the future. Also curious about whether you favor design or performance, would like to hear lol, peace.

Definitely one to look out for when there are sales. Interesting bit about the weight and traction differences.

Hey Tommy, great vid as usual! Which would you recommend, Harden vol 7 or these?

I got orange one, had to go trough few sessions before they started to break in, outer shell it quite hard, the heal cup at base is still almost too hard. Breathability is huge issue, so big that I went to my local shoes repair and they made me 3 eyelets at the bottom inside, going through insole, similar style as Chuck Taylors. Zoom bags feel bottom loaded and hard to press much more stiff in comparison vs AJ 35 low. Otherwise it's nice to play.

these are great, I did not even need break it in, got the black version couple of weeks ago for about $75 (2024 spring sale)

feedback from a guy that recently bought it from taiwan: original price was 6600 (new taiwan dollars) it had a discount and it became 4600, the akoya colorway in the outlet i bought it from came slightly damaged on the tongue as it seemed like a person pressed down on it, I haven’t worn it yet (i am looking to wear it.) as per the version of the shoe it’s an EP (i don’t actually know why but it’s the same on the site), another thing to consider is the outlet you buy it from. Small note: they have all of the colorways in EVERY outlet (atleast i think, though it still applies to the outlet you check)

I stopped hooping for years and needed some new kicks recently. Retired my super comfy Westbrook shoes from years ago, too warn out now. They were the most comfiest hoop shoes I ever wore, the Jordan Why Not zer0.2. So I went into the store last month, only shoes that fit my foot comfortably (wide foot), were the Lebron Next Gen and these Lebron 21's. I chose the Lebron Next Gen shoes because they were slightly cheaper and I struggle with foot pain too often with most basketball shoes (most just too narrow). So I thought, might as well save money if I don't know what the heck I'm going to feel like after a few hours hooping in them. Tried easing into them for a break-in period to be safe, running but not full sprint, not going full vertical jump often. But surely enough after a few weeks, I started getting foot pain once I started running and jumping hard in my Lebron Next Gen's. Pain in the foot bottom, just in the forefoot area. So now I'm moving on to these. They look like they got great cushion, so I'm happy to try them out! And I'd say they look better than the Lebron 20's since everyone likes comparing the two designs. 🙂 And I'm glad I'm getting them at the right time. A color I like seems like it's dropping right now, in this hot blue color way called Abalone Pearl. Thanks for the great basketball shoe reviews! What do you think would be better between the Tahitian colorway & the lime green colorway with the suede upper? They're both 50% off, so I'm debating between the two. I was thinking about the Dragon Pearl colorway too until I saw your video.

lebron 21 are decent. i’m sure they perform very good, just like the lebron 20. but aesthetically i prefer the 20 way more.

I'm US size 10.5 and upsized to 11 as 10.5 fits super snug. Fits perfectly to me and little to no break-in time. Easy recommendation to friends. Cons to tahitian colorway. I don't know how to clean the black top seems to be a dirt magnet. Sad but performance wise, one of the best.

just copped the melon, tight at the medial side, had to half size up. there's a thumb of space at the toe area because of that

Does the outer shell for the Melo Melo get creases or scratches over time? I'm planning to buy them but they don't look very durable for the materials on the outer shell. (my opinion)

Out the box these things are super tight. Haven’t played in them yet, but I think they’ll mold to my feet eventually. The cushioning does feel nice though

Bought the Freshwater colorway, went true to size even though in wide footed since when i was fitting them at the store it felt nicer (was choosing between the KD16). Fast forward to using it on the court, the boys had me rush to wesr it since the game is starting and i just laced it up tight. It was comfortable from the jump untol 5-10 min later my feet were hurting which is a common issue for me. I thought it was the shoe itself then i remembered i didnt lace it up the usual way i do it. I loosened up the second eyelet and behold no more foot pain. Replaced my kd15s with this shoe. Weight feels virtually the same but the comfort of the lebron 21s is a MUST

Are you sure this is your true size? Pause at 4:21, you can clearly tell that you can put at least 2 fingers behind your heel. It's almost in every single shoe review, they all look like they are too big for your feet. Great review by the way. Always looking forward for the next one!

Performance wise, great. However, after using it twice (tahitian black), already looks like a year old shoe. Dirt magnet and hard to clean. Returned the item already. Will wait for the kobe on the 15th tho.

Just played in there today and I gotta say, I was not impressed at all in any aspect, maybe just the cushioning. They also run very small, I wear a 10.5 and they were smashing my big toe.
