Most of the negative comments are coming from young people who don't know the significance behind the shoe. Nike made 1500 pair of these which were featured in a movie from the 80's Back To The Future Ii. These were auctioned off on eBay and all proceeds went to the Michael J Fox foundation for research on Parkinson's Disease which in my view is a very noble cause. As a fan of the movie is love to be the owner of these shoes and a part of history. Thank you for the video sir and God bless

Because that would defeat the purpose of waiting years and years for the shoe, also they wanted to make it a special shoe so if everyone was wearing it would just be another shoe. Also the rare quantity brought the shoes to auction at very high prices, bringing lots of money for Parkinsons (where all the money went).
I like them covered, yea they're great shoes, but to flaunt them is tacky. They're already 80's AF which only adds to the kind of retro-cheesy look they have, if you cover them they still look good, but the shoes speak for themselves. You don't need to show them off by pulling your pants up, they light up.
You could do less filthy things for mags from electrokicks, same materials used and they look basically the same. Since they arent so expensive you dont feel so bad wearing them
i think i saw this guy living in downtown crossing, boston. in a box, poor dood spent the last of dads pension. but hey, he has these cool light bright sneakers!!. although he cant charge them. but did you see how cool he looked in all those different skinny jeans?? and then the shorts?!?! whoaa that was epic!!
@Matt Young I understand the situation with these shoes but he can buy the plastic things that go inside the shoe to protect creasing. Also I wasnt just referring to this shoe but in every type of shoe like the Jordan's, Nike, addidas... Which people can also buy the protective plastic for them as well. :)
You could just buy sketchers light ups for $9960.01 less, same thing except the sketchers are water proof and you don't gotta charge em. Cons of both? You still don't get laid.
I also thought that would be the price. But I looked on ebay and saw a few that were around 400 to 1000 bucks. But I like these shoes tho. They look epic with black skinny jeans fould up =)
Poeyan Kalantar If you found them on ebay for below 5000 then they were fake, there are lots of fake pairs on ebay. Even some fake pairs are listened for authentic price, but on ebay a real pair would probably cost 6-10 just because it is ebay.
Poeyan Kalantar hahah yea, 2015 is supposed to have power lacing so that should be worth the money. But also they will most likely be auctioned off again so they may be just as much.

+Serom Kim IO Hawk isn't the company that made them. They are from a Chinese company and can be bought for at least $50. IO Hawk just sells them for a higher price.
I actually like the look with the shorts, I didnt think i would but they look good with them, I also like the over the top of the shoe with pants better, but the leg stacked is also not bad, but def light jeans look the best out of the pants
jesus christ it's not that Even if he Could afford it He still has a right to his own opinion and he probably can u don't know him anyways I love shoes and nike but these are cool but I wouldn't cop them to wear they look ugly to wear out but as someone that loves to collect shoes and is a sneakerhead I would definitely want these in my closet

Its a collectors item. Those things sell for like five thousand dollars. Only 1500 of them were ever made. Not to mention they're featured in one of the most popular movies of all time..
The reason why, is because these shoes were not only limited edition, is the money you spend on em, goes into the parkensons disease research facility, wich since there only auctioned, they go up to high prices but for good need, hope you understand...

They are Very nice shoes. If Nike will make these for the average consumer, they can make an even bigger profit. Maybe even make more variation in the color and lights, and add the self tying laces. I believe they will become a staple like blue jeans if the average consumer can afford these. And by avg consumer, millions of pre-teens that dig wearing bright colors.

They look amazing but I'm curious how comfortable are these things I want a pair to wear out instead of babying like most people do when they get em btw good on you for wearing them and not babying them
