This has become the official shoe of caddies down here in the south. The gtx is perfect for wet grass and piling up miles all day. I’m on my 7th pair . I’m putting 100+ miles a week on them. They closed out for 75$ last Black Friday and I picked up 4 more pair at 83$ in this year’s sale
@rahimagainstyou92 we don't really have winter here in Ga. The adidas terrex free hiker gtx or nike infinity pro sheild is what I wear on bad weather days.
My Nike React Pegasus Trail 4 GORE-TEX had a detachment in the heel of the right foot in less than 100 days. Unfortunately, Nike in my country (Brazil) doesn't offer support for the problem.
I specifically asked for nikeys with gtx at the store for my very muddy forest runs and she denied having them. Then she showed me these shoes, and I looked at her confused saying “this is exactly what I want right?” She continued “yeah but these are trail shoes”. To top it off she had them in my size, 47.5 which happens rather rarely. I guess in Holland they don’t want trail shoes? So far I’ve tried them on the road and when sprinting they under perform, which is no surprise I guess. Let’s see if I’m happier with them in the forest :-)
thanks for the review. im not a runner at all but since you're from the same neighbourhood then it's good enough for me. how's the fit? i've gotten mix reviews some saying getting a size up to true to fit
Thanks for the review helpful in decision on if I should purchase or not. Question for you probably hard since not that hot yet, but have your feet felt hot/sweaty after runs?
I haven't had any hot runs in them yet, but my assumption is that they would tend to be warmer than other shoes. So far I've only run in conditions between 20 to 60 degrees Fahrenheit (-6 to 15 degrees Celsius).
Yes, compact snow & ice I used spikes. For those fresh “first snow” days where it wasn’t very deep and still quite tacky I was able to get away with just the shoes.
More or less the only good jogging route near my home is basically a track which is regularly churned up by horse hooves. How well will these things bear up if I regularly run them through an inch or two of liquid or near-liquid mud?
That's quite the trail! I'd probably opt for something with a much deeper lug pattern in your case, something like Salomon's Speedcross or Inov8's X-Talon or Mudclaw.
I wouldn’t use them as my everyday walking shoe, they would be too warm. But when it’s rainy/snowy I’d definitely use these to get through the day and stay dry.
Why do people get shoes with waterproof membranes for hot environments... Can you not understand that they don't breathe and your feet will sweat and suffer? Get a breathable pair and you'll be fine even if you get wet because.. it's hot..
@@CptAngelKGaming I guess its all depends on the thickness and density of the layers, I have Nike ACG GTX which feels pretty good on almost any weather condition
