Jacques @Kustoo Slade is a guy that loves sneakers and creates RU-vid videos about them as well as other things. This channel has sneaker collections from Nike, Jordan, adidas, Yeezy, Reebok, Under Armour and more. He also does sneaker reviews, sneaker shopping, performance reviews, and sneaker history. He also loves technology, music, and pop culture and often mixes the three with sneaker to create one of the few "sneaker" channels that bridges the gap.

i was really excited for this release. but as you mentioned in the video, the pricetag is just too much. would love to see foams make a come back, but I'm cool with them staying underground in the lifestyle scene

This tech could really cement the argument that shoes can be art. The collab and creative potential for these is incredible. Image a Foams collection on a wall with CDGs, CLOTS, Fragments, etc etc. The price is the only thing holding these back from being large parts of peoples collections.

In monochrome its a good amalgamation of tech and casual sports wear. It seems moulded designer foams willl catch up again. It looks so pain and simple but on closer inspection there is so much going on. I have seen other manufacturers use pressed foam but they dont have details like this.

Foam has always been my go to shoes. I hoop in lowtops and its either the foams or Kobes for me. Love the air zoom cushioning and the durability. Also they don't crease if people are into that. I always have at least two pairs of foams in my rotations. Its okay if they don't get hyped again more for me and the foamheads. They are worth the price IMO. I love the shell like design but please don't making them 300+ sneakers and destroy their value.

They should definitely experiment with different molds. But I'd be more than happy to settle for non-garbage colorways of the normal foam. They miss way more than they hit on colorways when it really shouldn't be that hard.

I think that the current wave of knits + fuse is the evolution of something like foams. They allow versatility for aesthetics, breathability, structure/reinforcement, without the high cost or restrictions that come with a molded polymer upper. I loved the original Penny Foam One’s at first sight back in ‘97, but I don’t think this is where the future is going.

I legitimately only want to buy the shoes to match my waves but I think the foam posits just need the righteous bright color way to bring them out again I don’t know what’s gonna bring them into the main stream but I remember being a early 2000‘s kid and hearing about the weatherman‘s and all the foam posit releases and being so hyped about them Would love to see it make a come back great video

man, I hate to come off as a dick...however, the CDG foam is not the beginning of a re-heated hype, as for the past 3-4 months people be posting more and more foams. wasn't there a volt FP release within' the past year? (which if I do remember correctly sold out almost immediately). Ya'll can have these....as an amputee, the LAST thing I want is even more weight on my prosthetic foot lol. last hot take: it just pisses me off that people have to move in hype waves like an over-condensed astroworld concert. I mean...look at the sudden bum rush hype for AF1s again!?

I really wanted both pairs but the blacks and whites both sold out in my size. Got the whites at retail but was hoping the blacks would come back down to retail. Sucks to pay 800 for the blacks while small feet folks can just got to the website and pick them up.

How is no one talking about the price of these shoes? I’m glad that Jacques mentioned how “obscene” this is however, the historic sneaker-head issue that has consistently plagued us is still an unfortunate reality. These shoes, among others, are simply not worth the money.

I do like foams and in my opinion they look very dated and uncomfortable. And I feel the concept of sticking your feet into liquid to have a shoe mold around your foot is a uncomfortable concept especially if the material does not stretch.
