You’re right though, people would only go for them if they had hype behind them. I hate that, it’s crazy to me that people wouldn’t copp a sneaker that one likes if they like it!!!
@@SquiinTvhonestly the burgundy pair is too dark for me not enough contrast. I won the coconut’s in a raffle but ur right the fit was off in my tts so I traded them in for a sweet deal on some other SB’s I’ve been after for a long time: Copped the Carpet Company’s sb high’s for close to retail and the April’s for a decent price. Blues and greens are more my colors when it comes to my wardrobe so it worked out great for me! Also for close to retail couldn’t pass up the carpet company’s cuz I already own the hoodie and a ton of other carpet merch. Had absolutely nothin to do with hype. QS SB dunk releases typically have more premium materials. I won the tightbooth’s in a raffle and they are hands down a much better pair than both of these combined. Also won the SB 4’s in a raffle. Just don’t have the bandwidth or the money to go after every single QS release so sometimes a finders fee ain’t the end of the world. Review the navy gum’s my dude. Been salivating on those for a min. ✌️🫶🫡

Two great sneakers that stand out by themselves! A lot of people cry about not getting a collab but when great sneakers with good storytelling drops it’s “these are boring” smh

I think you are totally right! The hype and therefore resell is shifting to lifestyle runners like ASICS and new balance. I think inflation and the cost of living post covid has also knocked people's choices. With less profit in reselling they can't see the point. You are ON the money with burgundy lobsters... They would have sold out in seconds. I've been waiting for the burgundy crush since last autumn, I got them a couple of days before release here in the UK for retail ! Madness. I am here for it. Hype beasts can move on and leave the true SB fans to pick up. I picked up the Faust highs last week on sale at £79 instead of retail £120 and I'm a US 13 🎉🎉 Resellers, keep waking away please!
It’s a wonderful time to be alive if you a snkrhead/SB head becus the way certain sneakers just sitting and going on sale is unheard of for the last 2 to 3 weeks so Another good part of resale market dying is that I don’t have to rush and buy shoes now I can actually sit back n think if I really need these shoes in my collection or can I just appreciate them from a far
I’m not a reseller but I love shoes. And I actually skate my SBs. Only reason I didn’t go for these is because I don’t like them. Burgundy crush is too much with the burgundy midsole. White midsole would’ve made it pop. Coconuts weren’t going to last because of the Satin. It was an easy pass for me. Even the orange label navy blue with the gum bottom. Had to pass on those cause of the midsole. Gym bottoms feel better off the grip tape but I just need a splash of white. Even the wheat SB. It just missed when it came to the color contrast. I got court purple dunks and I couldn’t be happier.
No lie I had the wheats n had to get rid of dem due to the upper..I don’t normally like when nike does this (same upper, mid sole n outsole) but these I loved
