That toe box was from the Stash P Rod, but Futura and Stash projects always seemed to be within proximity of each other so they often get confused. These Dunks are a must, great vid.
Ooooh you’re absolutely right. The future were black white and grey. Patent leather maybe? Wooof my memory is tooooast. But I’d rather go by memory I think... it’s more of a conversation
Seeing these, and looking up to prod makes me want them even more.... the details are insane and I hope that whoever wants them can cop!!! MR DAVID BLUETILE A GOAT HE PROVIDES THE BEST VIDS
I dunno about the best vids!! haha I forget half of what im going to say as soon as the camera turns on. I need a white board. some graphics would be tight.
Everyday I wish there was a skate shop like y’all near me (Philly Area) I need these dunks. The aesthetics on these goes hard, literally a history of his life and past shoes he created all in one! Jordans never did me justice because I have always liked something with creativity. SB dunks are just that, literally a catalog filled with crazy art pieces from the Lobster Dunks to the current Stingwaters. I hope they keep coming up with more creativity ideas!
@@DavidBluetile Not yet, but definitely will swing by some time! In South Philly, so it’s not too far. And federal donuts nearby, I might grab some on the way there.
I’m loving the videos Dave; keep em coming ! These are definitely super crazy & hyped; hope there’s a decent amount to go around to those who actually gonna wear them. I love the story of them & commemorating all his signature shoes/colorways into one dunk is just the ultimate nod to a great career in skateboarding. Definitely one of the goats & I hope sb continues to do great story telling through other pro’s & Skateshop’s with the dunk.
The Bred PRod 3s were my favorite shoe. Just because he did the commercial with Ice Cube and it was so dope to see a young Latino kid skateboarding and kicking it was an hip hop legend. So dope!!! Brings back hella memories!!!
Very excited about this one. Can’t wait to come up to the shop and grab some of the other shirts I missed too. Thx again and I hope in the future Nike and Bluetile can collaborate on a sneaker. Now that would be EPIC!!!!
Will be by to enter for this raffle for sure. One way or another, I *have* to have these. Also, sweet seeing older history pieces like those fnf prods. Love all those cool old promo pieces. ✌💚
I still got my prod 2 highs the all white with red quilted inside never worn still in box. My grails. I want these lows so bad. Im 30yo skate my whole life. Prod has always been one of my favs. Im trying my hardest to get pair. Ill pay double even after drop tbh but not over 350 cuz i gotta wear these Prod shoes deserve it. Hes an amazing person, amazing skate and amazing style. I remember his jordan colab
Dope vid bro! I have "every" P Rod kick except for this one. Didn't hit on the drop and resell is too pricey. 😒 The toe box looks more like the Stash but the Futura are dope too. The other toe box are the P Rod Mexican blanket which are one of my favorites! Enjoyed the vid bro and stay cool! 😁🤙
Very dope story! Love the background history on the sneaker’s original concepts and silhouettes that went into this really fire collaboration. PRod & Nike definitely went amazing on the details and quality. This is definitely a must have for the true SB heads and SB skaters 🙏🏽. Excellent review 💙🟦
Awww man I wish they did, lol, I was just mentioning from the prods you had. I have a couple pairs of the laces left but don’t see them too much anymore
They aren't as dusty as you think. It's that black suede. Multiple Jordan's they used it on have the same issue, especially the Jordan 5s. It just looks dusty as hell right out the box brand new.
If they do retro the prods I would love the IV’s. I’d buy a bunch. My favorite are the PRod IV since I found them to be so simple but sooooo comfy to skate in. I think I learned Nollie hardflips in them. And they were the ones he won Tampa pro 2010 in what!!! what!!!
I still prefer the "Version 1" OG SB Dunk, don't like the ankle foam bubbles, also they made the ankle paddiing slightly stiffer. It does help with preventing the inner lining fabric from tearing from lots of wears which I see over and over on used "Version 1" Dunks. Also the lines look cleaner on "Version 1" without the 2 lace protector flap. Lots of people don't even notice it. I guess the Phylon is a good upgrade tho. Also Nike slimmed down or changed the shape of the tongue slightly, and I am just used to the classic OG Fatty Tongue, which i suppose most kids don't like now an days
There really are so many tiny small tweaks that have happened over the years that aren’t even noticeable.... I had to go up a full size ... but also my feet are just beat up from skating
The more and more I see them I know I’m not getting them lol, but the chase will be fun for sure; Love Neon green laces like Jedi’s def gotta make a shirt that color
Never say never bro. We gotta keep the hope alive 💪🏽. I’m very excited for the shirt too. Prayers up for the possibility that we both get this amazing sneaker. 🙏🏽
I had the first two P-Rods and I felt like the 1’s didn’t really feel like a skate shoe to me, I gave away my 2’s to a friend and stuck with some dunk mids with a strap!
I am a shop owner and we get very few pairs so no matter how stoked I am on them I generally do not take the shoe from inventory. id rather sling it to a customer than own another pair of shoes at this point. its hard to let some of them go but these types of things are so limited I even make my employees enter the raffle just like everyone else if they want them. myself included. I dont just automatically get a pair. I enter raffle all over the place myself.
Oh wow. Hadn’t noticed that. Ours are def official. Straight from Nike. I’d lose my account in a heartbeat if I posted a video featuring anything fake. Where did you see some that were different than the ones I featured.
@@DavidBluetile thank you! Definitely a great shoe with history in it and a great one to skate a little. If I was closer I may try to cop from your shop. Thanks again for the review and info. I’ll most likely grab a shirt from you.
Just curious because I just bought these what the Prods. Every video I watch legit checking these says on the toe box on the first shoe, the print that start with blue I heard were fake. Toe box that start with the green were real. However Also heard there were 2 colorways and 1 was more rare which I’m assuming might be the blue version. I think that colorway was the version that was faked
I can’t speak to it 100% because it’s been so long and I don’t have a pair in hand at the moment. I can ask my homie Charlie what his look like. That said. I know mine are real because I’m a Nike dealer and these are straight from Nike wholesale
dunks are as good as window shopping for me even as an adult:( Why are they so expensive I love the shape. Aurelien was rocking a sickkkk pair of blue and grey dunks on 2021 dew tour too
I mean out the shop they’re not that expensive. These things are crazy mismatched materials and treatments all over the place. $150 isn’t bad for how much went into them. After market price is a different story ... but when we sold them they were $150.
@@DavidBluetile yeah man here in Canada all that can be found is after market prices for the new prods upwards of 1000 canadian and regular dunks are about 500. If you want to settle for a pair u aren't really hyped on maybe 400 lol.
@@DavidBluetile ill have a look at them sites but usually nike sb dunks are extremelt hard to find since the pandemic ive literally had to order everything from skate warehouse and random local Cali shops since it all started. Usually a lot of Shane oniel, charge canvas and blazer zoom nike sbs available around here but never see dunks. It's sad man lol. I've had to even get my boards and all that stuff out of the country the last year. I'm in calgary too btw one of the bigger city's in Canada and still nothing lol.
I know nothing about P Rods or SB in general so this was great. The PRod 3 looks awesome. I would have rocked that just as a shoe before I started skating. The What The PRod is a bit much for this old man. The only SBs I have are the SB Trainer 1 Polar colab (from BTSC). I loved that it was BO Jackson's shoe. I am just sitting here waiting for my Last Resorts to arrive, tomorrow I think.
@@DavidBluetile I got them in a size 10 :), I need prod to sign my pair, I wished I could get one to wear/skate, but with these prices it Doesn’t look possible for me :(
That’s always the gamble. The first what the dunks were a very small targeted release. These were broader.... that said. In ten years I can’t imagine these would hold/gain value
6:33 looks like a variation of the nike skeets. I had a pair of those still have one. found it in the attic crawl space last year. lol. one of the best pairs of skate shoes ive ever had. like ipath tier good. but horribly hard to come by so i think i went adidas. All I want is a totally suede pair. or fuck it adidas.
@@DavidBluetile just trying to get buy with a decent cupsole. I skate the original black and gun puigs still. i tried janoskis i like them but as soon as i put a cupsole back on i was like oh im not a girl! i totally forgot! lol.
hey thanks!! sometimes the channel can be all over the place. which I know is frowned upon. im just like... well... this is my life.... im a shop owner, I skate and explore stuff.... and... yup. its all over the place.
@@DavidBluetile It would make perfect sense for them to do it. They're amazing shoes, it would be very nostalgic, and as everyone is wearing Polar big boys or baggy silvertabs, they'd fit right in.
Pulls out the insoles and tries to say they actually make your day better. Nah sb dunks back in the day were actually comfortable. The soles now have been mad uncomfortable for a minute
we started our in store raffle today. we are working on trying to do more national raffles but its tough with limited inventory and Nike encourages each shop to service their area.
man lots of low spirits out there. its crazy how high the demand has jumped up in the last year and a half. nike works on a 1 year booking window and are planning that year one year in advance. so if nothing else it would take them two years to adjust for that fast of an upswing in demand.... then add covid into that stupid equation haha. shits wild. I do wish you luck!!
