i was a fan of Vomeros and Pegasus’ early on. And Vomeros use to be discounted back in the day. Nike brought them back and slapped on the $160 price tag!? sheesh 😅

I loved the A Cold Wall collab on these. I still need a pair of those. But these or the regular ones in the og green? Was never a fan. I've always been a new balance head, and if I wanted to run in a Nike it was flyknit racer for me.

Most Nike's are a ripoff nowadays. Don't know since when they became a premium category brand. Everything is overpriced these days without any justification. It's not like they use better, more durable materials.

One of the best colorways for the Vomero 5, in my opinion. Up there with the Vast Grey that also came out this year. Also important to mention that when buying replacement insoles, the only ones that offer any real support are ones with solid cores inside, like Powerstep, the only brand of insoles recommended by podiatrists. Foam-only insoles like Hefe don't provide any support structure and may cause more problems in the long run as your feet muscles constantly collapse without rigid support.

Hi Sean! Thank you for all the detailed reviews! You helped me decide on the sizes to buy for my NB collection. I'm looking into getting my first Vomero 5. How would you compare the sizing and comfort from Vomero 5 to 2002r? For 2002R, I'm a Size 8 which is perfect width and with a finger width from the tip of the toe box. Thank you! (I also wear 990V3 in Size 7.5)

Did you try adidas response CL in grey? If you do compare these and them and a good 990 and speak on it. The Adidas response CL got slept on. The collab on them was silly. The grey ones look proper.

All the Nike New Balance comments can calm down. Granted Nike might be trying that move... but this shoe has been given love from Nike 3-4 years ago with the A Cold Wall collab. That shoe was high on my list then and still is in the chalk color as I am into odd looking things like that. I see nothing wrong if Nike is trying what New Balance did with the 550 and letting it go where it needs to go. All this being said if these are over 100 bucks yall better grab the 990.

Got these for 140. These are an amazing silhouette imo and shoe in general. I've heard people call them Dad shoes- I don't really care though. They're just a nice looking shoe- they give me a new balance vibe that I like.

It's because where the suede is it's usually fake leather. That fake letter creases and warps the shoe.

As far as modern running shoes go, the Vomeros are considered one of the ugliest, so it's odd to see it be stylish... even if it is a retro. They remind me of some of the Asics retros (like the Gel-1130) from around the same time frame. But I guess they would be similar looking being from the same era.
