Interesting to see the subtle differences. More defiance from Zakharova and more vulnerability from Smirnova. They’re both well suited to the role and both made thoughtful and inspired choices in the portrayal.

It's a tough call for sure. Svetlana is physically endowed to the extreme, while Olga possesses sharper, almost exotic lines. Both ballerinas are masters of their craft.

Wow! They are both so amazing and such glorious examples in these videos of how movement can be the most powerful form of acting. I loved them both but Svetlana's look at 2:17 really hit my gut.

I prefer to watch Svetlana Zakharova dance. The points, the gestures, a certain presence..., so inhabited by her role, also very moving, sensual, wonderful. Am fully aware that the table on the right is more pleasant to view. Notwithstanding, even without that, her grace, her aesthetics, her charisma truly charm me. Divinely expressive.

Вот если честно, понравилась больше танцовщица слева, хотя, безусловно, обе балерины очень и очень хороши в своем амплуа). Просто Смирнова в этом видео более чувственная и гибкая, у нее спина более пластичная, на мой взгляд.

Good try. For the split screen to really be effective the two figures have to the same size continually....and this isn't easy.

Может, просто неудачно снято. Мне кажется, надо смотреть спектакль, а не по косточкам разбирать артистов. У них для этого есть педагоги-репетиторы.

Both ballerinas are great in the role, but I do appreciate Sveta’s defiance and overall choices especially in the tour jeté to the knee with backbend. Olga indulged a little bit in her back flexibility and her port de bras didn’t build up to the crescendo this role needs. I’m just being picky because I’ve danced the part and like all ballerinas I’m a perfectionist. They’re both wonderful and two of my favorites. Bravas!🩰👏🏻

I prefer Zakharova, she is smoother and more expressive in this role. At the beginning Olga Smirnova seems nervous, she tripped a little after raising her leg a little too much, and she is not really into the music, maybe due to the split screen ? At the end there is less differences. Generally I like Olga Smirnova very much, maybe classical roles are more her style, and I also like the position she took recently about the war in Ukraine !

Смирнова красивее, а у Захаровой какая-то сумасшедшая магия в движениях, невозможно оторваться, хотя фигура очень сухая у нее, когда она статична, смотреть больно, пугающая худоба.
