@@tinktinkkks4209 It's their biological child. Nikki and Brie were pregnant at the same time. Due dates were days apart. Nikki gave birth first. 22 hours later Brie had a C-section because she was a failed B-back.

I felt for both here, I couldnt imagine the anxiety/stress. I do hope that Nikki can work on changing her language from "my" to "our" when it comes to their son. I remember my husband and I got into our frst marital dispute when I was pregnant with our daughter and I referred to her as "my baby" during a conversation we were having and he literally didnt talk to me for the rest of the day it upset him so much. I dont think we as women realize how much it hurts the dad's when we disregard their part in their children's lives especially when they are a more than capable parent. I know her intention is pure but words can hurt so I hope she's working on that.

She needs to change her language period with everything else. She has this tendency of dismissing him making all the decisions like he is a kept man and only her opinion matters. I'm happy for her to get someone like him but I just don't feel like she is learning how lucky she is or rather let me say certain actions give that assumption.

@Starksmom exactly. You would think she would be more appreciative. I get mummy anxiety but he has absolutely no1 and their whole life is around her and her family. I would think in that moment him meeting his family would take presidency. I think woman like her just love the Alpha male to fault. I was sooo happy for her to have her happy ending but will he?

I get both sides. Mother anxiety is a completely different type of anxiety and it’s hard to ignore that. She’s scared because she can’t be there to control what she can. I also get Artem because it’s THEIR son, not just hers. He hasn’t done anything to question whether or not he can take care of their kid and he should get a say in Matteo’s life. I think Artem’s thought process of Matteo never meeting his parents scared him a lot and that anger was fear tbh. Love that they still kissed goodbye and said “I love you” even if they were mad in the moment

I think this is a bit more of a communication issue and a bit of misunderstanding plus a lack of empathy to the situation. Separation anxiety has nothing do with the trust of a spouse and everything t ok do with being separated. My wife works full time and Im a stay at home parent. My daughter had never been away from me for the first 5 years of her life. My family lives is Norway and I had to attend a my sisters wedding. My wife couldn’t fly due to medical restrictions and wanted our daughter to stay home with her. The anxiety over separating from my daughter for the first time and going overseas was overwhelming. I was supposed to spend two weeks with my sister. By the time i got to the airport i had called home a half dozen times. Needles to say i didn’t last the whole two weeks. I hoped on a plane home right after the wedding ended.

It has nothing to do with her trust for him. She knows the baby’s gonna be okay with him but separation anxiety is high for mothers everywhere and it’s very common and something dads wouldn’t feel as much. She carried this baby for 9 months so that builds an automatic bond between them and then she’s been with him every single day for as long as he’s been alive so for the first time being so far away I get anxiety and sad but it’s not because she doesn’t trust artem it’s bc she’s scared to be away from him bc she’s used to always being with him

@pixiemellark the wedding didn't happen. They had a damn ceremony. The purpose of Paris was to have his family there. They knew before going his parents couldn't go. So why even have it in Paris? That baby was inside of her, then a mother spends every single minute of the baby's life with him nursing and taking care so u tell me how there can't be separation anxiety. I get where he's coming from and he needs to see his family and he loves his child and can protect the child, but her behaviour is the most relatable thing to a mother. All she needs to do is work on it and understand he loves the child unconditionally just like her and trust him which i hope she does if not it will drive her insane and challenge that relationship but this is just about the most normal thing ever. What she's doing in NOT intentional.

That’s an issue though isn’t it. You should trust that your partner the other parent to your kids is on your level when it comes to parenting. If you can’t trust them to take care of the kids as well as you then you shouldn’t have had children with them.

I felt bad for Artem but I understood where Nikki was coming from. Like u gotta remember that's her first child, the child she's waited to have forever, so she still has that first-time parent anxiety. Not to mention, he'd be taking him to a country they knew nothing about in a part of the world that's in a precarious state to say the least. My grandma is 98 & my dad is 60 and he still has to call her when he gets home so she won't worry. A mother's love knows no bounds 😅

I can completey understand where Nicole is coming from, I mean my baby has been with me since birth and every second with me. So the day she started kindergarten was extremely hard for me and I cried and worried because she’s never been gone so many days and hours without me. Her school is 5 min away but as a mom there’s that bond and your constantly worried. I can’t even imagine a whole other country that’s like a different world,My husband takes care of my daughter too but it’s never like how the mom takes care of them or how we want them to.

I think her frustration is from all the potential turmoil in those countries and Matteo being a hyper energetic toddler, she's afraid of not being there to help. Nikki Loves Artem and is definitely attached to their son. Sometimes she does talk to Artem in the wrong way and I'm sure he has said some things also. But they both talk it out and trust each other in the end. And that's what a relationship or marriage is about building on. I never seen or heard of any physical abuse. They appear to have more Happy moments than bad. So it's their life that they chose to live and put on display. God bless them and I pray they make it work long term for their Family sake, I'm just saying 😀👌✌️

She leaves Matteo at home with Artem all the time while she's gone. She sees that he is very capable of caring for him. Foes being in a different country changes the way a parent takes care of their child. She was in Florida for a few days for the Hall of Fame. He was with Artem.

If you're not going to be worried about sending your toddler to a third world country without you, that's on you. Most parents would. He needs to stop. She never mentioned not wanting his parents to meet Mateo, she's the reason they're even going to be able to attend the wedding since she moved it out of the country. @@lolitarondo18 many other parents constantly worry about their kids in their home country so I can't imagine how it feels when they are in another country they never been themselves. u might be fine but don't invalidate her valid feelings. I have a feeling u wouldn't be so chill tho if your child was in a country u never been to. So I wouldn't be saying u would be cool about it until u lived it yourself. In the end, she never once told him she wouldn't let Matteo go. Artem's fear of his parents not ever seeing his son led him to accuse her of something she never once insinuated in her concerns! Also Artem has said my son before too. When parents say my it's never territorial & saying the other parents don't count.

She still loves John, and Artem was a rebound.... It's sad because so many people do that in their life before healing from a broken heart.... She was desperate to fill that void and have a child... Poor Artem, he was looking for true true love, Nikki was wanting a bridge and a baby until she one day managed to cross back over to John. This is a scenario that plays out all over the world with millions of people. The good guys always get taken by the women who need a band aid. I have no doubt they love each other, but he loves her more. She seems to resent him for not being John... I totally get that anxiety isn't rational. Matteo is BOTH of yours. Us ladies have a hard time trusting that dads are capable parents. Why would Artem deliberately let harm come to his own child? Not to mention this is the first time his parents can ever see Teo, he's almost 3!! Imagine having this moment finally his child 2 whole years they didn't get to spend with their grandchild and the moment is being tarnished because of negative thoughts? for once it was the time to say ok I am having a hard time navigating my emotions but I know this man I'm about to marry is more than capable and I trust in him, even thought I am nervous. I think this was one of those moments where the meaning to your spouse was BIGGER than the anxiety. It needed to be support. Doesn't mean it wasn't scary but trust needed to be stronger than the fear. I say this loving Nikki but understanding that you cannot undermine your husband and father of your child. He belongs to BOTH of you and kids are resilient. You can't let a child completely control your life, kids are flexible and adjust to you as the parent and giving them space to fall and experience life makes a more confident kid.

where did she say it wasn't his son? i doubt a lot of mothers wouldn't feel anxious about their child being in another country. her worry was not about their child not being in good hands. it's just the feeling of what if something happens and she isn't there. if an unfortunate situation happens, she gets painted and questioned why she wasn't there with their child and all of that.

I get Nikki cuz NO ONE is gonna take care of your baby like you BUT Artem is very emotionally available and aware so maybe she should be at ease. He hasn't given her reason to think he is irresponsible. then she is saying stuff as if Artem has no involvement in the childs upbringing ....so I get it What happened to Nikki as a child will not happen to this baby so she realize that.

I think Artem seems to be an awesome father, but he's not being really sympathetic in this situation. She's always with Matteo and on top of that other countries have different safety precautions and legal liability in places like hotel rooms, so the fact that she is worrying about the balcony and taping doors, she has total awareness, not just being overly protective. She would probably be just as concerned in the US, but sometimes the other parent is oblivious to things that you may not be towards, so it's best to speak up and cover all bases. Concern for the child should be off limits when it comes to complaining about nagging or distrust in parenting skills.

Men need to understand mother baby separation anxiety it's real especially when you never been separated it isn't saying she don't trust dad alone with baby you have to just be a women to understand we carried these babies in our wombs so men just be a little understanding when mom is being over protected and has anxiety separation mom is usually there 24/7 and when you develop a eternal alarm to check on baby and when baby isn't there when you wake up can make a mom say to herself oh baby is with dad but prior to her noticing and remembering that she panics for a quick second where is my baby till reality sets in and mommy bear/ tigermom instincts calms down and says baby is with dad
