What "pain" does she know?? My (black) father came to this country in 1959 and by 1964 he finished his MBA degree (at a time probably less than 5000 people in the US had such a degree as it was then very new) and went to look for a job. All the big names of the era, Prudential, IBM, etc. wouldn't hire him, for one simple reason: he was black. So, Nikki tell me about this "pain" you know so much about...

That makes no sense. I’m NO Nikki fan by any means. But as a fellow lighter skinned 100% Indian, I was teased for my skin by both white and black classmates in early 2000s Canada! It was likely also because they knew I was different. There were very few Indian families in town at the time. Also Nikki was darker as a kid as most of us are from playing in the sun. Again, I don’t like her as a politician but it’s wrong to assume that she didn’t face racism just because she isn’t dirt brown!!

Nikki, that simple question was posed to you when you ran for Gov. Of SC. You said the reason for the civil war was about Change vs Tradition. Almost 25 years later, your answer in 2023 is that the reason for the civil war was freedom from government telling you what you can and can't do. Really? 25 years after you were asked that question and you still can't bring yourself to say Slavery until the National Spotlight called you out. Running for Gov of SC isn't running for president of the United States. You are now in the big league. You got away with that in SC, but you will not on the National stage.

But as a fellow lighter skinned 100% Indian, I was teased for my skin by both white and black classmates in early 2000s Canada! Now imagine the 70/80s American South! It was likely also because people knew we were different. There were very few Indian families in town at the time. Also Nikki was darker as a kid as most of us are from playing in the sun. I was quite a bit more brown before my teen years. Again, I don’t like her as a politician but it’s wrong to assume that she didn’t face racism just because she isn’t dirt brown!
