I feel like you can be a good human and do a social experiment on people, I watch Game Changer and even though Sam fucks with the players mind and is the true antagonist of the show, they still like him outside of it and he seems like a good person. But Nick, when he reveals that it's all been a social experiment, he doesn't say "omg this was fun to do and I learned a lot from this!" he still calls people ants and looks down at them like others are lesser. His viewpoint outside his character is still generally the same, and that's what's so gross to me.

Genuine social experiments are usually a good thing - it would be extremely weird for me to talk shit about the field I want to go into lmao - but a lot of people use it as an excuse to be a total dick. They basically use it as a ‘it was just a joke bro chill out’, and they don’t abide by any of the ethical guidelines or research methods that social research depends on Plus if nothing else, the Game Changer cast members sign up to be tormented and they’re dedicated comedians who will absolutely commit to a bit no matter where it goes. Rubbing a bird’s back like that makes them horny and eventually can make them very aggressive. PSA: USUALLY SANE PEOPLE RESEARCH ABOUT AN ANIMAL THEY ARE GOING TO EVENTUALLY HAVE, WHEN RESEARCHING ABOUT DOMESTICATED/EXOCTIC BIRDS, IT IS ABSOLUTELY COMMON KNOWLEDGE TO KNOW NOT TO RUB THEIR BACKS TO DISCOURAGE AGGRESSIVE BEHAVIORS AND MATING BEHAVIORS, BECAUSE IT IS QUITE EASY TO CAUSE AGGRESSION IN EXOTIC BIRDS LIKE ONE HE OWNS. his behavior leads me to think he probably is fully aware of this.. He can see the way the bird is reacting. There was a girl who was in hot water for the same thing with an African Grey iirc, like last year. His behavior with the bird just makes me feel yucky.
As someone with a background in psych and human bio, I wanna remind everyone that drastic weight loss in a short period of time isn't healthy or safe, regardless of the methods used. Your body requires a certain amount of time to process any large changes in body mass, in any direction, and rapid weight loss can lead to serious issues becoming triggered suddenly due to a disruption in your physical homeostasis. These symptoms can range from aesthetic changes like hair loss and change in skin texture, to something as serious as endocrine, thyroid, liver, kidney, or heart failure, and they can occur without much warning. As a side note, I am in no place to provide a diagnosis to Nik, but I can tell you that rapid continuous weight gain followed by rapid weight loss is usually a result of maladaptive relationships with food and disordered eating, which are both mental health concerns. No side of this situation is healthy, but it should still be approached with nuance. In finality, please, for goodness sake, do not show before and after pictures of Nik to the fat people in your life as some sort of attempt to "inspire" them to lose weight. It's not the compassionate move you believe it to be.

There’s a lot of stigmatization and misconceptions about Weight loss, and one of the biggest is that you should eat less than the average amount. Weight gain has a lot of different causes. some of the causes are hereditary genes, or even the way your country processes foods. You have to remember that no matter what anyone says, gaining weight isn’t inherently a bad thing, especially if you aren’t doing anything extra to be gaining that weight If you’re really looking for weight loss advice, I’d talk to your doctor abt it. They’ll be able to tell you if you should lose weight and the healthiest way to do so.
Thats so true! Generally speaking doctors (in Germany) recommend to not lose more than 500 grams per week, so 2 kg per month. Him losing 250 pounds (110 kg) should have taken him like at least 4 and a half years by that estimate if done safely. He is literally harming himself and I really hope people don't start copying or celebrating this behaviour :(
Can we also mention about the Stephanie soo And him abusing his husband?! He isnt just disgusting about gaining & loosing his weight the way he did and making it seem like what he did was not wrong he is just a disgusting person.!

There was a post on r/thomastheplankengine about 2 years ago talking about this dudes dream that Nikocado came out and said all of this was a social experiment and he was a lie. It was insane
why are all the comments "why is no one talking about him touching the bird's back?" but literally, all I see are those comments talking about it😭 Anyways, I'm thankful for all those comments, I didn't know that fact about birds, and now I'm extremely disturbed by the way he touches it and looks at it

This is because it simulates the allogrooming that occurs between birds before mating. I dont like that no one is talking about how he's petting that bird. Birds aren't supposed to be pet on their backs or under their wings, it makes them produce sexual hormones, and can make them sexually frustrated because you're treating them like a "mate" but wont be their mate. Its not good for the bird and its overall strange to do-Nik is an awful human being, so i can only assume that hes just doing that for hate and ragebait too.
@@Necrophyllis.you're right, but i have seen that on multiple sources about owning a bird although it was a while ago, because i wanted a bird at that time. (i settled for a cat, not that that's important), so nic should've known that, but i wouldn't be surprised if he didn't do any research before getting a bird.

I'm just glad that he's getting healthier, I may not like him but I didn't want to see him slowly kill himself just for fame, he looks happier so hopefully he can grow as a person, I don't forgive him but I'm glad he's getting better
Yeah me too. But being at that weight and health for over 5 years definitely harmed his body beyond repair which is pretty sad knowing that fame and money is what kept him going for so long
Exactly, I’m not willing to forgive or forget, but I can’t lie, I’m happy for him and I’m glad he’s better (and hopefully he’ll continue getting better, maybe apologize, learn from his mistakes…)

As someone who’s poor, sometimes it’s NOT UR FUCKING FAULT!! I’m 15 my parents are disabled no of us can work cus I’m too young and they’re disabled. My best friend I just turned 15 and was HOMELESS living at my house (homeless being like no personal home) because of her parents who haven’t been able to keep a house in this god damn economy. The housing market is off the wall rn and inflation is crazy I remember when I could by a pound of apples for 1.50$ now it’s like 1.50$ per apple and the way I’m speaking makes me sound so old cus inflation should never skyrocket so fast and it’s forcing youth who’s parents struggle to grow up way to fast just to make sure we’re not homeless at 19-20. People like nick make me sick cus they don’t know the struggle of being STUCK maybe he knows how it feels being poor but if he truly knew what being stuck in poverty felt like he’d know never to say that shit cus it’s a struggle out here. I’ve gotten my blood drawn and was warned about stress… cus my levels were so elevated for someone my age and demeanor it was odd. I live as a adult with none of the benefits and I’m tired of it. At least let 15 year olds work for Christ’s sake
louis, i heavily disagree with you there, we definitely should not be commending him for this "new era" of his. it's not only feeding into the whole "skinny privilege" thing, but we need to take into account how he didn't do all the bad things he did because he was fat, he did them because he genuinely is a really terrible person. yes, he does say he's the "villain" in all this and how he fooled us all, but it's not right to commend him now just because of the fact he got us good or how he's turned to a healthy lifestyle now. he's ruined and hurt other people, take stephanie soo as example. stephanie's story is one we should not forget, especially in a time like this now. he even references it in his coming back video, which is just sick. yes, i'm probably feeding into his point of him really being the villain, but as the audience, we should not be applauding or commending him for anything at all.
just the other day i was info dumping to my bf about how pigeons are great because you can pet them unlike with parrots, since parrots get aroused by that and you can only really safely pet their heads and not their backs so for the entire video i couldn't stop thinking about what nikocado was doing to his poor parrot who will probably have hormonal issues now
I think most somewhat intelligent people knew he was acting crazy on camera for views. It was very obvious to me. He created a whole persona. Also, you can tell the videos he uploaded for a while were old. I had an idea he was losing weight behind the scenes tbh. I just didn’t expect it to happen as fast as it did

Seeing the new videos of Nick was literally so surreal to me. Shock, amused, amazed, etc. tho, i don't rlly like how he starts arousing his bird. I used to have pet birds (budgerigars), but rubbing their backs, arouses them. It's more better to pet them on the heads.

I feel very validated in being weirdly creeped out by him since the first time I saw him. I couldn't put my finger on it, his content just always seemed strange and fake but also desperate and sad.
The thing is, although Nik has painted himself to be “the villain,” in doing so, it’s not like the act didn’t become reality at some point. It’s not like the so called villain didn’t actually become the real villain and instigator just because he says he orchestrated it all- the harmful stuff he instigated online should be evidence of that.
