@@FruitMonger360 That is not true. He is getting ready to be the next Spurs coach. He is already an assistant coach. I cant guarantee this will happen but this is the plan for him
@@AaronxxiIt's beyond introversion. Most introverts still crave external validation, e.g. Kevin Durant with his burner accounts. Jokic genuinely couldn't care less what people think about him and will live his life on his own terms .
It's funny how many NBA players really love the lifestyle more than the game and then there's guys like Jokic who just wants to practice, dominate games, then go home like a normal family man.
Being able to walk down the street, eat something on go with out being bothered or asked 100 questions/camera’s shuttering and possibly just messing about with friends saying something in appropriate without being cancelled for it is what he calls freedom.
He should be THE role model ... all the rest who play for fame, glory , records don't realize this is temporary, sacrifice that is not worth it. Being a human is worth it.
Well it's the media and fans that worship these guys as some kinda savior for dribbling and shooting a ball in a hole for a living, it's our fault there like that and jokic isn't from here hence why he's not corrupted like most Americans are
With too many pampered entitled American players, all these humble European talent growing up in hardship and sometimes literal war zones finding a future in Basketball is an incredible story
This is what so many NBA players are young people lack today. The humbleness. He don’t need all the flash. He’s gonna go back home to his family and enjoy his horse races. We we probably never see him again other than when he becomes a Hall of Famer. That’s a man of the people. Be that young boys.
You can tell by how Jokic plays basketball that he is a wise man, and it’s revealed even more when he speaks about the importance of being a dad, living in the moment, etc.
That is not true. He is getting ready to be the next Spurs coach. He is already an assistant coach. I cant guarantee this will happen but this is the plan for him
@@daddyfuse50 not really lol first off I’ve had several friends say that for years it’s not a very original thought and second that’s not what Jokic meant
If you are watching animes or reading mangas. Jokic's goal was the old man living alone in the mountain. But not so many people know that he was once the strongest being in his era.
Joker is spittin, I can't stand how people think it's cool to record someone without their consent😑. That said, I hope he does get to live a normal life after basketball👍🏿
isnt it more like anti lebron? mj never proclaimed he was the goat, the others did... lebron said hes goat and that is usualy the sign that youre not as if lebron had to say it because he felt like he is second to mj
@@VVorstPlayerEU420 MJ and Kobe were all about "be a killer, he the greatest, everyone is your enemy and you need to work harder then them!" While jokic is the opposite . LeBron's great but he doesn't talk that much about it, probably because of the steroids that media and people for the most part ignore
It’s so refreshing to see. Imagine if every other celebrity or pro athlete shared his mindset. The entertainment industry would be so wholesome and fun.
Yeah.. must be really annoying if u go to the club with your wife and all of sudden everybody is pointing their phone at you .. and u just wanna have few drinks, maybe dance..
I think it’s impossible to expect people to forget about you as a basketball player once you’ve reached a certain level…. Being an NBA Champion, MVP, best passing Big Man of all time, etc etc etc… I’m going to remember you until I die Jokic, sorry.
It’s a healthy goal, albeit, maybe unrealistic. Because we have to think about what he’s accomplished. And possibly without trying. Like imagine he’s trying to be bad but is just that good lol
Porter is hearing him talk about not wanting to be known, and is like I have no idea what you’re talking about as my ass is doing a podcast no one wants to hear about but me
Well, the way he's paving his way through the NBA in 2024, I don't think people will forget who Nikola Jokic is, considering he and his Denver team gave a lot of upsetting loses to the fan favourite Lakers team 😂
he didn't said it was hard. he basically meant that he hates when people maka a big deal of something people do regularly. I think a lot of people waits at his house, takes pictures of him when he takes out the trash😂 and he gets annoyed by that.
love his attitude towards life. But he needs to understand that its because of the fans he is getting paid 100s of millions. His work doesn't really help anyone it just entertains.
Agreed. But his game is very entertaining. Way more entertaining than Timmy D. He spent his life getting out of a dangerous war torn area and worked his butt off in basketball. So he just isnt going to have US values.
Someone running up to him in a bar does not make him or the league any money though. Paying fans go to signings or go to events where their favorite star will be performing or meeting and greeting people. They purchase merchandise. Regarding the entertainment factor... Saying that entertainment does not help anyone is very degrading. If all forms of entertainment, movies, shows, sports, etc. were taken away, life would be less enjoyable. I would think bringing joy to someone's life is huge especially given the fact that they are doing it for millions. Some people might even go so far to say that it is the purpose of their life. People probably spend the most time entertaining themselves, their friends and family, behind sleep and working. Because of him, there are young kids who are probably deciding to eat better, exercise, and actually work towards something. I personally think that there are several jobs that are pointless but entertainment is not one of them. Shakespeare was an entertainer.
Getting paid millions of dollars doesn’t mean you don’t want to be treated like a regular human being. I do not envy this part of being famous whatsoever. Sometimes you just need time to yourself, or with your friends without a spectacle being made
@@RightStickRob that's actually exactly what it means. You don't get to be a regular dude anymore. I agree fsme is a terrible thing especially for a down to earth guy like him. And if you ask him would he rather take only 1 million instead of a 200 an not deal with the fame, he probably would..one of the only ones. But still he took the 200 million and that's the result. I'm sure after he retires he will get his calm and privacy.
It's his life not yours, he can live life however he wants as long as he wins on the court that's all that matters. He isn't some goldfish where you need to see him all the time and tap the glass.
He doesn't seem like the type of person to exaggerate things. Jokic is no gimmicks. He's an individual, not a follower and that seems to unnerve people.
