Wow! I’m actually “learning” 😁 I’ve binged watched you it’s good to know I can come back anytime for reassurance. Your channel is so, helpful. (Printed my tip sheets too) you are GREAT! My outmost sincere THANK YOU!
Hey paul thank you for all the tutorials videos you’re great I learned so much i have the nikon d 3400 .and I figured out a lots off the settings you help me understand more of my camera iam in Charleston South Carolina usa
I am going to Alaska next month so I need a reliable source to fall back on. The first thing I did was order a tripod from B&H. I like that I can pause the video and rewind so I can get things right.
I have just acquired a Nikon D5100 so this video is really helpful. I like taking landscape pictures so I have now gone into the Set Picture Control section.
Just the best instruction on the internet, my educated opinion... I have spent the last year following many other gurus... you presentation of information shows a mastery of the process of educating people... Thanks
Hi Paul, working my way through your channel. Have to say this is the best I have seen for Nikon camera. Have a D3300 learnt so much from your videos, cheers for that
Do these tutorials work for the older Nikon D3300? Great videos, you have the ability to explain things in a very concise and straightforward manner to understand.
Hey Paul - I've traded in my D3500 for a D7500, so I'm going back through all your Nikon specific videos as a refresher and seeing what I can apply to the D7500. In watching beginner's video 2, and the scene mode discussion I am wondering if those are really needed if one is shooting in RAW? - I assume not. Also trying to understand the ins and outs of the Auto ISO setting... looking forward to finding that in another of the videos. These are good refresher videos even for us old hands... seems like I pick up little tidbits.
Love watching your videos Paul and I've been trying out the manual modes but it takes some getting used to and thank you Paul sharing all your videos very interesting I've got the NikonD5000📷
Hi Paul, Great photography series (for everyone)! Please create a video about lens compatibility (NIKON AF-S, AF-P, manual) and lens adapters (I've just bought the Fotodiox Pro OLYMPUS OM1 to Nikon F-Mount adapter) but could I damage my D3400? Regards, Ian
Thank you for the video. I have a "beginners" question: 1. Will any nikon lens fit any nikon body or does the lens mount and camera mount have to be the same..?
Hi Paul, another question here, i e, more in need of an advice. I am planning to buy a nifty fifty but in doubt of which one to buy, who would give me the biggest bang for my money. The Nikon AF-S FX NIKKOR 50mm f/1.4G (more expensive) or the more affordable Nikon AF-S FX NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8G. the bigger fstop will allow me for a much better photo?By the way,I have a Nikon D90. Thanks for any advice and even more appreciation for your tutorials. They are amazingly easy to understand:-))
Hi Rodney, the f1.4 version of the 50mm is definitely better - firstly (and most importantly) in terms of quality of glass which of course affects image quality, but also because you get a wider aperture and the build quality is much better than the cheaper f1.8 version. Of course for this you have to pay significantly more - but it is a lens that you will love and it will last. The 50mm f1.8 is definitely the one to go for if your budget is tight - despite the plastic body you simply cannot beat it in terms of value for money. Thanks for watching and continually support my channel.
Paul when you are going through the Set Picture Control I see you press the button next to Lv to get out of that menu. Are you pressing something else in the front?
Paul, I am a novice and have just bought D300. I followed yourPart 1 and Part 2. Now when I take a picture and I go to LV, the picture is constantly flickering why, what should I do to correct that
Sir , could you please explain some more settings in nikon D3400 camera . Sir , which option or mode is best for indore or out dore dark light as well as in sun light or bright light
Probably will not be doing a D7000 specific video as I don't have access to that particular camera. I will be doing plenty more tutorials though that I'm sure you will find useful, some of them will be Nikon specific. Thank you for watching and please consider subscribing 👍
Photo Genius I tried 500 it didn't I took down to 15, 30 etc. it didn't also work. And it was in Shutter priority. Also when I increase my aperture to 20, 30.... my image becomes darker even with a higher ISO.
Point the camera at you and you should see some info written on the inside edge of the lens. Filter size for the kit lens is usually 55mm. Hope that helps.
Hi I've just entered the D-SLR world with a nikon dx 3400 twin lens deal having had an Pentax SLR years ago, in my old Pentax set up i had a ×2 extender I'm interested to know what is your opinion of ×2 extenders for D- SLR cameras. Cheers Shaun
Hi Shaun, thanks for watching my channel. I haven't got an extender myself so can't give you any feedback, it is something that I am thinking of getting sometime soon however and if I do I will feature it in a video. Best wishes Paul @ Photo Genius
In P mode the camera gives you limited control over the camera settings - try holding down the +/- button on the top of the camera and turning the dial 😀
