I just recently got into photography when my school gave me the D100 that they used to use for the yearbook. These 3 videos you’ve made have helped me so much with understanding some of the basics and more confusing parts of the camera. Just wanted to give a thank you :)
I still have my D100 which I bought new back in the early 2000's. If you are doing photography for computer viewing or even smaller prints it still works fine and there are lots of great lenses out there on the used market.. I am however moving up to a Z7 shortly.
Your thumbnail button probably works. In playback mode, hold the thumbnail button + spin the rear command wheel to enter thumbnail playback. Thank you so much for making this series. I just picked up a D100 as my first DSLR, and these videos have been immensely helpful. Coming from an old Soviet rangefinder, all of these modes and features can feel just a touch overwhelming.
Rumors are you can format 8 Gb card on a PC and it will work in the camera. If you use AI manual lens set it on M Manual mode and you need to estimate the exposure. But the auto focus confirmation light will illuminate when you focus properly.
That's a lens error. There are a few different possible issues, some bad some not. There should be some guides online on how to troubleshoot. It might be as minor as an incorrect setting or as serious as a bad lens. When the camera displays FEE it does not take photos.
I hope someone comments on how to get the ais version lenses to work on here. I have the d100 and the 105mm f2.5. After mounting the lens, I can't turn the aperture ring. It is really tight and won't turn
@@drum009Yeah, same here. I always have to look online to see which mounts are compatible with the Nikon cameras I don't own. They changes over the years made sense at the time, but they are a pain to deal with now.
