Nikon D5100 Sample Video (Low Light) 

@tushar310 you can change exposure compensation. you can also lock exposure compensation because the camera will auto change that as you move to and fro from a well lit environment to a dark one.

Atlast I had it, My first DSLR, I am loving it.

@mbbramarv d5100, it has a better sensor in it :) You'll see the difference when it's getting darker and the extra options like selective color and miniature are quite cool and worth the price difference.

That is a good video of the Nikon D5100. Videoing in low light was very good and good location. mike

Good evening friend, 3 days ago I bought the Nikon D5100 experience in photography and guiding me through the features it has, however no video for set recorded at night and directly connect the HDMI cable tv and looks very land with many dark objects, and little points not totally nitido the video does not look good ... I would like to help me if it is configuration problem

@codename6 I looked up the specs, and there's not even a 60i in any resolution. :\ It DOES do 30p at full HD though! Which would be VERY smooth. But i still want slow-mo. :'[

In my opinion I prefer the D5100.But the 600D delivers great video quality.

Does the video mode have the same effects as the camera mode? I ask this because I'm a dark skinned girl and I could only really take videos of myself in day light. Even with a light at night, I'd still be pretty invisible :/

Every second there's like a really small stutter in the frame rate. Do ALL DSLRs do that?

No... not at all. D5100 has significantly lower noise at high ISO, more than 20% better image quality, more dynamic range, better color depth, three times faster in start up time, has in-camera HDR (600d does not), more than 10% larger sensor, automatically focuses shooting video, 50% more shots per battery charge, better boost ISO, smaller, more focus points, around 10% faster continuous shooting and it's cheaper.
