If you have D850 you have no need to buy whatsoever. Probably next version of z8 or z9 might attract your attention but not this. Especially if you have zeiss lenses you are good at least 10 years with D850 until body gave up.
I’ve ordered mine to replace my old Z6. I have a Z9 for my work so I don’t see a reason for a Z8 or wait for a new Z7III. Great video, can’t wait to hear what you think when you get to play with a production model.

Great review Adrian, on the new Nikon Z6111, looks great - many thanks for sharing the info - have a great week.
Thanks for watching Christian. It is a remarkable camera in what it can do. I'm sure I just scraped the surface in it's uses. Have a great week ahead buddy 🙏
Great video, Adrian! I will not be getting the Z6III. But, like you I do think it’s going to be a great camera. I still wonder about this “partially” stacked sensor. WTF does that mean? 😂 they said the readout speed is substantially faster than before, but how fast? I’ve seen examples in Steve Perry’s video showing it still has rolling shutter problems so it’s not fast enough to shoot electronic for sports or birds in flight. The R6 Mark II has the fastest sensor read out speed from a non-stacked sensor. But, it still has rolling shutter problems too. it would be interesting to see what the exact readout speed is. Again, the camera looks great to me. My biggest problem with it is the “partially” stacked sensor jargon and what does that really mean?
@@adrianalfordphotography I think the Z8 has swung it for me Adrian. With the Z6iii being full frame at 25 megapixels it cuts down on the cropping potential compared to the Z8, otherwise very tempting!!👍👍
Nikon seems to have done a very good job on pricing this time profitwise. After watching the first videos on this camera, I thought I will rather buy a used Z8. But a used Z8 is still more expensive than a new Z6 III. So I will probably buy the Z6 III. I think there be no Z7 III soon because its price and features would be too close to the Z8. Maybe people would buy the Z8 instead and noone would buy the Z7 III or vice-versa.
I got the ZF in February and simply love it .. I don’t see this model would give me enough additional advantages for my photography needs ( I don’t shoot video) ‘and mostly travel and landscapes sometimes group / parties .. Nice new model though .
I have been using my D750 for travel and street photography until now. I was reluctant to switch over to the Z system as it was quite a large step up in costs - Nikon Z mount lenses do cost substabtially more and even as more independent makers are offering them, the cost is still not at a level where I don't have to think about the price. I have decided that the Z6 III is yet another step up for me - I do not shoot video and most of the enhancements seem to be in the video department. So I will be paying more for something I won't be using. Perhaps a Z5 II is what I need to wait for.
Hi Adrian, I was waiting for the release of this this camera to decide if this was the camera to make me go full in to mirrorless. The Z6iii is certainly a power house, I am impressed with the specs. That said, the only thing holding me back is the sensor size. 24 MP is more than adequate for most everything however I like to do bird photography and cropping is almost always necessary. I think this camera has guided me more towards Z8 as my next camera. More to come…
Thanks for watching my friend. Crazy thing is the Z8 is on special here at the moment with our end of financial year sales. I'm sure the Z6III will be very good and I'm looking forward to when I can get my hands on a full production model to review. Have a great week ahead 🙏
will get. but need to test it out first. since does not have Dual CFexpress cards or XQD card slots i do sports and video need both to be fast read write and keep with action,
Having been shooting with the z6ii for over a year and a half, complementing with my d850, I will definitely go for the z6iii though not right away. I may wait till the end of this year though so that I can get proper feedback from users. From what I’ve seen so fat, it’s worth going for it. My bank account however says I must wait a bit.
Are you going to keep your Z7? I also have a Z7 and I don’t know if I should change it for a zf or a z6iii. I’m more a photographer than a videographer.
I will probably keep my Z7 no matter what camera I buy next. The Z7 will be my backup camera to the new. If you were more a photographer the only reason you'd upgrade is for the better focus system and frame rates on the new cameras for things like birds and wildlfie, portraits, sport etc.
@@adrianalfordphotography thanks I will keep my z7 for is 45 megapixels and buy a zf or z6iii for is autofocus. I want to start doing wildlife and street photography. Thanks
The economist in me says to stick with my D810 until it dies. As I'm not a professional and I don't make money from my prints, I'll just admire the wonderful new tech and say, one day.
