I've tested this approach yesterday at an event, and it worked just amazingly. Even better than what I've used to on the Z6II (well, pretty much everything on Z8 is better than on Z6II). I like I can just jump back to whatever AF I had before. Thanks a lot .
Thanks Barry, I'm a wildlife hobbyist and also acquired a Z8 recently and I must admit that if it wasn't for U-Tube video's like yours I would be stuck. I will attempt your newly acquired method. 👍 Keep up the good work, mate.
Hi Barry, Thank you for posting a very informative video. Please tell me what attachement you have fixed on to tye external flash bracket...is it a power bank ? I would be interested in obtaining such a bracket. Any inputs from you will be helpful. Thank you.
Nothing happens when I press my fn2 button. Also, I have a small red square on my screen, and I'm not sure why. I just got this camera a couple of weeks ago and am new to mirrorless, so any advice is welcome and appreciated! My camera is missing focus quite a bit, either dropping it or back focusing. Could this be because my settings aren't right?
The small red box is the small area AF which anything thing in the red square the camera will focus on, the Z8 has a button on the bottom left front corner of the camera which you can press and change your AF area, or you can access it in the quick menu, have a good play with all of the AF modes to get used to the camera, and to start of just select AFF area and then select which subject you are shooting ie birds, people, cars etc and the camera will do most of the work for you. Hope that helps.
