Cool stress test on the ZF here. I received mine yesterday and have I do have to say it is a joy to use. Z8 is overkill if you aren't doing professional work imo.
Awesome video. I've really enjoyed your approach to showing people the Zf. I was curious, what are you using to record your screen? I see the cable going from the camera into the jacket... Just curious!
Jeez that guy, your par course athlete, is incredibly agile! Drawn to your vid as i’m considering the ZF as a do a bit of everything camera. Have you found the mix of the PASM lever as well as the dials to be confusing to operate the camera quickly? Do you stay in manual mode? Thanks, Craig
@@craigcarlson4022 ya, those parkour guys are amazing!! Now that I have had the camera a while I’m pretty used to how it works in general, but it can be a little confusing at first for sure. I always shoot manual or aperture priority. Both work great and I’m quite happy with how the camera exposes on aperture priority.
Hey, sorry for the late reply. I also found this difficult to find. Push the "i" button to bring up the mini menu on the LCD. I the bottom left there should be a spot for "Release mode", and it should be an S inside a square if you are on single shot. Push OK, and then slide over to the "H" for the highest burst mode. Hope That helps!
Great job. Not the camera I will choose for action: very few focus points make it difficult for the camera to peek at the eyes at a distance, slow readout makes the focus tracking jumpy and the cards are the worst for action. If we stay with Nikon the Z8 and the Z9 are the tools for the job. On the other hand, the results speak for themselves showing that for a creative mind, working around limitations can be part of the fun, and one can get the job done.
On paper there are many things that the Zf might be lacking over other cameras, and if it was a professional job for myself I would grab my Z9 for action first. But if you know the camera’s limitations you can still get great action pictures with it. I enjoy working with limitations and still being able to produce cool pictures.
Nikon Z F or wait for z 6 iii? I'm coming from a d7500, and I'm considering this camera, but some others on reddit said wait for the z 6 iii, whenever that releases.
You can’t always wait for the “next and best camera” as there will always be another “next and best camera” on the horizon. If it’s in your price range and you can get one now, I would just get it. I got one for myself this week with that in mind and can’t wait to get out and shoot with it next week. Good luck and good shooting!!
I haven’t gotten my hands on the Z7ii yet but if you are looking for a main camera, it looks quite nice even for sports. But I do like the look of the Zf and it can get the job done if needed. Good luck!
