I thought it was a brilliant cover. The song is a disco/dance song at heart that can trace its roots back to early soul, blues, and jazz. They incorporated these into the song and recreated it live, that is the essence of what live music is all about. Where else are you gonna hear a version like this? If you want to hear the original go look up the million covers of it that sound exactly the same 🤷♂️ This is Art…being performed by world class musicians. Wouldn’t say it was ruined, but merely interpreted a bit differently by the two guys that ACTUALLY played on the record.
@@Daniel-et4kl Have you ever gone to a wedding or a birthday party and a local garage band is playing songs you grew up with playing on the radio, and the band you're listening to just doesn't know the song well enough or they sing different lyrics? They might produce an entertaining cover, but for me, it's like they're just playing sour notes.
I think Pharell and Nile have the right to do a slightly different interpretation seeing they were the original singer and guitarist who featured/produced the original song with Daft Punk 😊
@@nickcutler7759 No question... they have the "right" to play it backwards if they want to, or they can ever unplug their instruments and microphones and play their songs in a foreign language. But, will their audience still appreciate it and want to hear more? What made those songs popular was the way they were performed in the original recordings.
Yes!!! I suppose, it is the first time in Bavaria? Hope they make good experiences in Munich. The Tollwood-Festival ist great! I will be there 🕺🤸♀@@MrSteff63
Wow! A more devoted fan. 👍I discovered Chic two years ago. And I am fascinated by the solo projects of Audrey Martells. I wonder why she isn't more popular. Her voice is extraordinary.@@MrSteff63
