Okay okay so I had some thoughts. If it's true that Nilou's teams can't take advantage of Collei's frontloaded dendro app, why do you think the team was shilled so much throughout 3.x? Genuinely just curious. Is Collei perhaps more flexible in certian content rather than always highest damage option, leading people to prefer her because of this? Perhaps her ability to provide both stationary app and app that moves with your character. Like for example with Keqing, though 2pc 2pc sets can output higher damage (especially depending on content and the combo you're doing), personally I choose to use 4pc TF because it's more flexible and thus lets me do a wider variety of setups. Sorry if any of these were answered in the video and I missed them, it's like 3am right now and I'm sleepy. Also, if you made a Kirara drawbacks video I'd watch. I ♥️ yapping.

I think I covered that idea briefly somewhere (around 25 minute mark) in the video where one might argue for her to be a reasonable bis middle ground for when you have to deal with a mix of aoe and st, but that then she has to start competing with other teams that were specifically made to be hybrid middle grounds, which are basically Haitham and now Kinich teams, which fare much better imo. I also cover in the addendum that in 3.x, after Nilou and Nahida's release, there weren't many options but it was also when Nilou tc was most popular since they were recent units, so the best option for this hybrid situation team pre Haitham could then be argued to be Collei/Nahida, which I think played a big part in why people to this day still think as such even though it was only accurate for the time, and is something I'd argue to be quickly outdated after Haitham got released. Also worth noting is that Collei/Nahida is incredibly simple to play and does have the better aoe compared to Haitham (although significantly worse single target), which was where Nilou largely got played, at which point she competes with Xingqiu, who I have said to be the better aoe option by virtue of triple hydro. But perhaps I may not have mentioned it in the video, but that triple hydro team is far harder to play than Collei in both survivability and maintenance of dendro aura, which I think makes it terribly unpopular. Not only do you start having to constantly on field your squishiest unit who'll start eating bloom damage, the significantly higher bloom generation also drastically increases the recoil you're taking from the blooms due to this higher generation compared to double dendro. To give you an idea of just one of it's issues, when it's being played optimally (which it should be because there's not much point in playing it suboptimally anyway where the benefits of it start being far less), it is probably the only team in the game where it's speedrunners often look for elemental resistance benedicts on 2nd and 3rd chamber because that actually allows them to play more aggressively and actually translates to faster times due to it.
