This kid has everything it takes to become one of the top defensemen in the NHL! Next season when Luleå loses him will be a sad day.

Is his defensive game that bad? For the last 2 years in the world juniors he has been given the role of defensive defenseman paired alongside an offensive one (Sandin) so he can play aggressively. I think he is much more likely to become a two-way prowess rather than a purely offensive defenseman in the nhl

For sure, his defensive game isn't bad at all and it will only get better with time as he gets bigger

His defensive game is good, hes really smart so he makes a ton of stops. Just a correction, his WJC partner the past two seasons has been Adam Ginning, but he played on the same PP unit as Sandin

No his defensive game have been better this year and I guess his mentor in Luleå, Erik Gustafsson, have learn him much to find a good balance in his offensive and defensive game style.

Great video! Rangers have three 23/24 year olds on RD currently. Fox just shined in his first year, Tony was 4th in defenseman in points and Jacob Trouba had an okay year but is locked up for the next 7 years. Nils is going to have really impress to force the rangers to move one of their RD to the left side or maybe trade an RFA like Tony. It’s gonna be interesting to see how they handle it

Exactly, but it's a really good problem to have, especially when you look at how desperate other teams are to even have one good RD. Lots of exciting options for the Rangers. Thanks for watching :)
