Oh I’m so sorry that nimbus had to have surgery! But hopefully that makes him much more comfortable now it’s off! Frodo has a growth but they can’t operate on it, so even though he has meds unfortunately the vets said (on his checkup to see if the meds were working) they said we have to prepare for end of life with him as they are unsure of what harm it’s doing to him! All I can do is to keep him comfortable and keep giving him his pain meds for now. It’s very sad that these types of things happen to our beautiful hammies! But great video, and hoping Nimbus makes a full recovery 💖

Oh so sorry to hear about Frodo :( It's awful when these little guys get so ill and you just feel helpless at times. It sucks that there isn't anymore they can do for him but just know you're not alone in this. A few years ago I had a 3 month old Syrian female who developed a tumor on her intestine and they couldn't operate. Eventually it grew very large in size and she was suffering and had problems with eating and walking so we had to put her down. Best thing you can do is make them as comfortable as you can and cherish what time you do have with them and when it comes down to making that difficult decision you'll know what to do when the time comes. Many thanks about Nimbus. He's doing so much better now and is right back to peeing on his wheel and burrowing to his heart's content. 🐹 ❤️

Thank you so much for sharing, it's very helpful to hear about hamster health and treatments as there isn't always a lot of info out there! I'm glad to hear he is doing okay!

Thanks for the kind words! The more information we put out the better as when I was going through this there wasn't many videos out there discussing cysts on hamsters. And so many people don't realize how serious investing in their healthcare truly is. At least now I can share Nimbus's story and hopefully it helps somebody else going through the same situation.
