Seeing these two old ladies share their memories was so heart warming. What crossed my mind is this physical beauty goes away after a certain time but what remains is beauty of the heart and beauty of the soul. Although I will never know these ladies personally but something tells me these two are two of the most beautiful ladies in the film industry.

Nimmi ji! Who can ever forget her? A beautiful actress with very striking eyes. She worked with almost all actors of her time. After working in Amar with Dilip Kumar, he was worried that she had overshadowed him and he never worked with Nimmi ji again.

@@filmsutube5880 Possibly. Film magazine gossip generally cannot be taken as fact. More so because Nimmi ji and Dilip Sahab maintained a very high regard and friendship for each other. She was in love with him as well. So, mere insecurity may not have been the reason for him to not work with her again. Nobody will ever know for sure. Anyway, thank you.🍀

What a wonderful episode. I was lucky to see her for two times and from very close during programs on Shankar Jaikishan in 2018 and 2019 when she obliged the organizers. The best and very heartening was her gesture to keep her words to attend the function. Two days before the program she was released from hospital after critically ill. We had given up hope and were determined to not to give her trouble. But Nimmi ji kept her words.......she arrived on wheel chair. Apart from it, when now a days even small artistes have ego and want the organizers to send vehicle to pick up and drop, this great lady refused to avail any facilities from us (Shankar Jaikishan Fans' Association International, Hyderabad). My Salute to her who is great artiste and great human being also. Thanks for presenting a lovely program on lovely Nimmi ji.

It would have been a top moment of my life if i would have been a man who captured our two queens together. nimmi ji got many offers from hollywood too when her career was on peak.. but she refused worked in hollywood because nimmi ji did not like the culture of foreign countries like wearing short clothes. this proves how much nimmi ji was grounded to earth and tightly connected to our own culture...hats off nimmi ji.. love you tabassum ji and thank you for sharing memories with nimmi ji.

This message is to Tabbasum the host of this show. Any possibility that you can campaign and advocate for deserving women artists to be honored by leading film entities like Filmfare and the likes. No doubt, you are doing that in your show that reaches millions but bringing on the stage with videos playing on screens and honoring them by artists and film establishments would be a worthwhile contribution. Nimmi is certainly amongst those who deserves this. I live in a foreign country otherwise I would have made efforts to see you personally to make it happen.

Tabussum Aunty is an inspiration to whole humanity on how to conduct oneself in life. I have watched her programs from the 1980s and she is still my favorite. May God bless you.

I have great regard for Nimmi, a very talented and versatile actor. She proved it many times when she co starred with leading Male and female actors. She always came on top stealing the show. Watch her movie AMAR opposite Dilip Dilip saheb and Madhubala and she was clearly dominating the show. Her role had a great variance and she performed with absolute perfection, including dances. She deserves a lifetime achievement trophy and a special tribute by critics as well veterans of the industry. She should be give a special place in the hall of fame.

Very heartwarming review of a beloved star's life. Thank you, Tabassumji. There was a hyphenated word that my friends and I back in the 1950s-1960s used to utter whenever we saw Nimmiji on the screen or on a poster: sweetie-cutie. Her baby face and petite frame projected that doll-like quality. And, of course, she was a superb actor without any formal schooling in the art. (Tabassumji, Please do similar portraits of lovely actresses Vijaya Choudhary and Usha Kiran. Details of Vijaya Choudhary remain obscure, though one can find some profiles of Usha Kiran on the internet).
