I started the 80s at nine years of age. Best times!! Amazing music everyday, amazing movies and TV, no social media to ruin everything and throwing everyone into depression and anxiety. New technology coming out constantly. Everything was so colorful and upbeat. Kids today may have to easier, but it's not better.

Oh man, seeing this compilation reminds me of what a great decade the 80's were. It also makes me sad to see Corey Haim and thinking how things turned out for him. :-( He actually went to my high school for a short period when he lived in Montreal.

Gen X truly understands. Boomers may have made the movies and run the studios, Greatest Gen was running the country, but Gen X was there to enjoy it to the fullest. Too bad we dropped the ball when it was our turn. Kids, put the blame squarely on Gen X for the crap show you're living in now. We didn't teach your parents what they needed to know about life and the world, so they couldn't teach you. Teach yourself how to be responsible and right headed men and women, before it's too late for all of us. Or your generation may be the last.

Great editing The dancing scenes of Marcy DeMoss, Devlin Devasquez and Tina Caspery, Jenniifer Beals, and Jennifer Connely that follow are pretty good also.

I feel very lucky to have had my childhood during the 70's and 80's. It used to really annoy me in the 2000's when people were talking about the 80's as being really naff. People had identity and genre in the 80's, you could pick out the year from the clothing fashions and the music was the soundtrack of your life.

Everyone seems to be talking about how much this reminds them of the 80s but I'm mostly thinking about how Nina must have dedicated this to her mother, judging from the lyrics
