By golly, he is only the one to ever “sleep’ with her on the same bed, the only one who’s had such close physical contact without her , besides a kiss. XL / FFB loves her & is in love with her but knows he has nothing to offer het. Xiaoyao loves him too in her own way, as she trusts him & considers him a friend. He is the only one who has dulfilled her desire for fun, adventure & daring escapades. I will prepare to have my heart broken knowing they can’t ever be together in the end! 😫
I truly routed for them to end up together, he gave her is heart and saved her life. while the others around her failed her time and again he actually brought her back from death's door. The ending left me feeling disappointed.
so true...and not even once...he literally saved her life more than 3 times, killed 2 of his own lives and all the way made her stronger 💔💔💔 those who keep saying he was abusive, they either have very bad traumas in their lives and they are projecting it or never truly paid attention on the character and his relationship with Xiao Yao...his ending truly broke my heart
We need to realize that in the novel, FFB doesn't look very much like Xiang Liu (the film directors failed us here), and this is why she was never 100% sure who he really was. After he said< "I need to heal">, she finally understood that FFB was in fact... Xiang Lui!
