I'm not even a I NIN fan but The Downward Spiral is literally one of the best albums I've ever heard and that's coming 43 year old who's been a huge music fan of many genres since my early teens. Every song is a banger it's such complete album.😊
I was 14-years old when this album came out & I never heard nothing like it. No other band was this original as every song pertained to every chapter of my life & I'm pretty damn sure mine wasn't the only one Trent has changed over the years, ty for putting this video together it's awesome✌🏼

I was 14 years old too. And I remembered to feel amazed with all that. It was brilliant, different and inspired. Full of so many incredible layers and feelings. I remember that after a while my conclusion was: It's very weird how this album makes me feel really good through depressive thoughts.
being covered in MUD at WOODSTOCK and wrecking the song BURN (in a good way) has to be one of the top moments in music history (Congrats on the HOF induction my guys)
Saw NIN with Manson and some crazy circus, in 1995 I think it was. NIN instantly became my top 3 favorite bands along with Meshuggah and Candlemass. Still true to this day. Trent is a musical genius...

I got to see nin 5 times so far in this life. And every time they did something that just fuckin blew my mind. Last time was 20th anniversary of d.spiral, and superunknown. (Soundgarden.) Great show. But s.garden was first, and after their set was done. U knw it takes a good while for next band to set up. 30 40min at least. 2min after stage was clear, one dude walks out with key board. And just brings the house down instantly. People were still walking to beer line. Not even made it yet. It was crazy. Oh it was Trent, the one dude. Everyone thought he was just another rodi.
I was at that show. My parents got my tickets as a graduation present and my mom went. She’s a Soundgarden fan but didn’t care for NIN. I told her once I saw the keyboard that he was gonna open with Copy of A and that’s what happened haha. After the show she told me “I like NIN now”.
'The Becoming really gets me-I love the version on piano in 90s & this version so many years later- Both excellent as I'm sure every performance is-I Really relate to this song I just really discovered today
We Love you Trent I love the beginning how he doesnt care if you like it then enjoy it-We LOVE IT & "if not there's some terrible shit on the other stage"LOL-I wouldn't even turn around or care who was on the other stage if I had opportunity to see Nine Inch Nails live-I just discovered in last few months during a time in my life where their music helps me get through so much knowing I am not alone- Knowing Trent made it & overcame it- Inspirational- Emotional & so may songs I relate to as if I wrote them myself-As I know many others do-Trent is a genius & performs superblly at every show through 20-30years already- Not even sure- Thanks for coming into my life at the perfect time-I know if I see your live concert my life will be changed dramatically for the better & been begging for a tour & now trying to figure out how to see them without a car & so far away but It is My 1 goal for myself this year as everything else, I put others before me & I'm sinking into a hole-in my mind- getting consumed like a nervous breakdown but only his music calms me & makes me happy & relaxed & I can relate to so many of the songs he wrote while battlingg his own issues so much but I LOVE THEM ALL & feel same way with government & his view of world is mine too-Before I knew anything about him-I really missed out so many years of such Genius Music & Talent-Nine Inch Nails Rocks- Please come to NYC LONG Island-Queens-Lower NY or eden tri-state area-I will walk there if I have too days in advance
Just saw them live for the first time in Cornwall, England on June 17th. You NEED to see them live this September when they do their 2nd American Leg of the current tour! I was right at the front, the closer the better! It was without a doubt in my mind the BEST concert I have ever been to. The sound quality, setlist, the visuals all of it was incredible!
Trent Reznor himself said the Woodstock performance was horrible upon listening to the audio in retrospect. I type this knowing I wasn’t there to judge the actual moment in time, but I understand what he meant.
@@theoneandonlyrojer.5549 Yeah, I'm pretty sure the sound guy was fucking it up. Trent's vocals almost always sound lower sounding in the beginning of the songs and then regular sounding a couple seconds after. Pretty weird to hear.
I saw NIN at Rupp arena and they opened with Mr Self Destruct with the Aaron North/Twiggy/Freese line up. Holy shit that was so much more intense than this version.
@@dunebug81 My friend did some oxy before . We stopped near Rupp to eat before the show. He threw up all over the fucking seats in front of us. Luckily it was during Head like a hole and people had already left in front of us.
Saw the same exact thing in Milwaukee 2005 (I think?). Was an off night from the big With Teeth era visual show since the smaller venue couldn't accommodate the AV setup. We got the alternate deep cut setlist with Please, Sin, Every Day, and Collector instead. They only did that a few times.
I enjoy some of their songs, but I've never understood the hype surrounding NIN. Perhaps most people are drawn to the different sound effects they use?
The more important question is... He promising the audience a bad time. Why he isn't wearing the blu hoodie with white furr? Seems like the lost opportunity to me.
You claim this contains the best performances of each song. But there's no Ghost-ified Piggy or the version of Hurt with David Bowie on it, which means you're a liar.
I considered Bowie Hurt, it's absolutely magical. But I've always loved the AATCHB performance more. Meanwhile, Ghost Pighy was ruined by a drum solo that didnt fit the rest of the music at all. Sorry, Josh Freese 😔
Concerts are NOT what they use to be, people use to completely covered in dirt, mud, sweat and liquids, drugs seeping from their pours. Now people don't want to get their designer clothes dirty, it's an embarrassment. I'll die happy to know that I lived during the age of real concerts.
Actually, I've noticed that it's worse than that. People don't even care to dress up anymore! It's a bunch of middle aged guys in Jean's and hoodies who sway a little, sing along to some lines, and occasionally do Devil horns while they ship their beers.
great way to start the show, bash all the other bands at the festivals you are on. As if at the same time he wasnt responsible for releasing some of the worst NIN material in their portfolio.
