These are the most profound lyrics I have ever heard. Awesome and dark as always just like me 👍👍NIN has always been my favorite ever since I was a kid hearing my big sister blast it in her room.
When the lock 🔐 downs happened I decided to deliver groceries and I drove the highway 🛣 rarely seeing other cars.... I blasted this song and drove crying. It was so weird.
I remember driving to the beach in Rhode Island during the lockdown and smoking a blunt in a lifeguard shack on an empty beach listening to this song and thinking there really is nobody around...
Thank you for your work on the backend. We front end folks wouldn't be able to do it without you. I especially love saying "where is everybody" when I come back to the worksite after a gig. You all do good work. Beers on the company tab...
This is existential nihilism and the desperate attempt to salvage one’s mind from collapsing down the spiral once the realization that humanity - and everything, is fucked at the core.
Thank you @Monica Ramirez!!! for posing this. I had the Fermi Paradox on my mind and though this song isn't about that, the title of the song is the question binding the paradox.
The first episode of The Twilight Zone. Where is everybody. All time favorite. The song is perfect. If you are a fan check out the four of us are dying by nin. Mindblowing.
I initially first heard this song not on the album The Fragile, but on RU-vid and the video was made from the Twilight Zone episode of which you speak. They went together incredibly well, and as you've seen the episode I'm sure you'll agree. Marvellous recommendation in The Four Of Us Are Dying....mind already blown!
I swear he reminds me of Owen Wilson a slight bit in the last pic/shot of this video. I never though I'd relate Trent Reznor and Owen Wilson together, lol... Anyone esle kinda see the zoolander effect on that?
I would like to party with Trent, Deadmau5 and Maynard. Wish i was a candidate for make-a-wish foundation...that's what I'd pick. Even if they offered me sex with 2 girls at the same time....I'd still pick partying with them. I have a gf also, I don't think she'd be down for that anyways.
