It's is always great to see the Red Road male, he is simply majestic, doing so well as a lone pride male. I hope the cubs and Nharus stay safe, they look in great shape.
Beautiful cubs in a very good condition Nharu pride r doing well thanks to the incredible mother lionesses, siblings and of course the protection of their magnificent father the Red Road male they all look stunning my best wishes for the success of the pride God bless 🙏❤️💙😍💕thanks a lot for sharing ur lovely video enjoyed it 🙏
If those two cubs sitting together at the very are both male they look like theyre going to be some big strong boys by the time they have to leave the pride. Hopefully their brother/brothers look the same and they all make it and have each other to start a strong coalition when they go. Would be fantastic to see Red Road’s legacy continue as he begins to age. Prayers also that Red Road stay strong, wise, and diligent enough to get all of the cubs into at least sub adulthood. 🙏 🦁
Hope the Red Road male can hang onto control in this area long enough so the cubs become sub-adults who hopefully will not be attacked when he is no longer dominant. Maybe he will be smart enough to pull a Notch and have the oldest males in the pride join him in a coalition.
@@TintswaloAtlanticCapeTown let's hope they have the time to make it to adults than Red road can live on in his clubs because he is a beautiful male lion.
Red road being a lone male in a tougher neighborhood than the OM in western s.s. but red road is a smart cat. His cubs are thriving even with danger being closely by. Unlike the OM whom keeps looking for females trouble and the OM is less of a fighter/survivor than red road. Red road is content being in his situation and therefore his cubs will make it in to subadult hood.
Its because the Nharu females are good mothers that keep their cubs alive and well feed. The mhangeni for other side are terrible mothers that lose a lot of cubs generation. So the othawa male just went look for better mothers to his offspring. He lost his patience with the mhangenis wasting not bring food to the family and losing all his cubs.
@@dabolts619 the mhangenis wasted 3 cubs brooding of Othawa male and abandoned 9 sub adults to the death in 2018. The last 7 mhangeni cubs now are reduced to only 2. They are the worst mothers of SS.
It would be great if Tintswalo rangers could answer this...I believe the oldest were born early April 2020, first 8 noted, then 10 seen by end of June, and 14 seen by early September 2020. Five were lost by December 2020, but those nine seemed to have held on since. I may have missed younger ones replacing older ones, that would make the oldest around 14.5 months and youngest, (excluding possible very young cubs recent denning with one lioness that is missing from the pride frequently), around 12-13 months. Remember quite a few had mange and were very thin for quite a long time, so they may look younger than they actually are.
Nharu lionesses are much better mothers than the mhangenis. Reason why the red road male is being more sucessfull in sire his offspring and live than the Othawa male.
@@Gurmeetsingh-ny1op He is 5 yrs old still in Birmingham pride.. Ross males made frequent attempts to push him out of pride, even injured him badly.. But Birmingham male recovered from injury and still stays around Birmingham pride.. Nowadays there was news of Birmingham breakaway pride and some lionesses with subadults stay seperate.. No one knows exactly Why YBM dsnt want to leave that pride( it has his sister and mother) Bas yahi baat hai ji..
@@82dupont north matimba coalition matimbas south coalition Birmingham Boys coalition. Red road lion alone Nharu Aka Breakaway Birmingham Pride Birmingham Breakaway Pride They all came out of the birmingham pride
Any coalition coming around would also have to deal with the 6 lionesses plus Red Road ... They wont patrol with RR but I do think if males came too close they would go into savage mode ... hope these cubs make it to adulthood.
