I put 1K miles on my G30 over 2 year and then nervously bought the G2 a few months ago. It took a few weeks to get used to the shorter deck (I'm 6'2") and the added height, but I very quickly loved it. Now when I go back to the G30 it feels like a child's toy! I never felt that way when I had it, but there is no turning back for me. The added range and 22mph is just so close to ideal that I don't feel there is anything better with the same reliability and those amazing tires that set your mind at ease. I just wish I had another 2-3 inches of flat deck to stand on :)

Yeah, I like it too but don't like problems with front suspension.

Most people want a larger battery and ask me if they can add an additional external battery. Smaller battery would be a downgrade. If you want a lighter one, they should release a smaller version like on the g30 and increase the battery on the larger model. I would recomend to deactivate the autobrake. With xiaodash fw it is possible and you can adjust everything how you like it. Its a musthave for guys like us. 👍

Smaller battery with 5A charger could recharge in under 3 hours, and that's pretty quick. Range with this battery is already pretty good, so a slightly smaller battery and faster built-in charger would at least to me be great option. Of course, with speed unlock, the range will drop. But let's say 10ah battery and fast charger, and in an hour, you recharge around 50% for 10-15km range. I'd say that would be a good option. Im not aiming for custom firmware here because I've seen way too many bricked controllers, so Im looking for a good option with stock settings far average users.

I do ~20km/day to get to work and back, with steep roads, that was the main argument to the G2, it allows me to charge at home with the 3A internal charger every 2 days. If you want a lighter escooter with a smaller battery, there are already plenty available to choose from ... to stay with Ninebot, check the E2 Plus or F2 Pro, they both have smaller batteries and front suspension.

You can switch regenerative braking off in the app settings

In settings, I only noticed the option to reduce regen braking but not to completely switch it off, so the motor does free wheelspin once you release throttle. But maybe I missed something.

@@escootIreland at least in my European version you can set it to strong, weak, or toggle it off. If set to strong you barely have to use the actual brake

@Bonnie20402 Yeah, I know, but even when it's off, as soon as you release throttle, the eScooter starts slowing down quite quickly. For example, if you lift the rear wheel, spin the wheel to kick in, hold the throttle for a few seconds, and then release the throttle wheel will stop in a matter of seconds it wont continue to freely spin.

@@escootIreland I drive in the city where a lot of traffic lights, so I try to choose the speed to always pass on a green light to avoid stops and use breaks. This technique saves more energy and travel time without recuperation. This technic gave me a chance to drive two miles longer distance on one charge without recuperation.

If you get an update V1.11.0 has a bug so better not update till they don't fix it motor is constantly braking after 32 km/h on cruise control so you need to hold all the time throttle but you still getting braking on 35 km/h.

Hello! You do a very nice job, on the videos! I'm interested in a beginner's scuter, I live in a hilly area, for up to 5 km a day.. and it's not heavy, and not too expensive! I was thinking about the Vsett8.. or the one from the video,or which one do you recommend?Thanks! greetings from Croatia😊

Hiya. For hilly areas, I would rather go for a dual motor, but im not 100% sure about Vsett(one went in flames in Laniste, Zagreb) and their water ressistance is IPX4 or something really low so with summer showers in Zagreb I'm not sure about it. If its slight hills, then Ninebot will do the job, but there are increasing reports on their problems. Of course, we can't take those reports for granted either because we dont all ride eScooters in the sane way. My top brands are Xuaomi, Ninebot, Navee, Inmotion, and Pure. Inmotion Climber might be a good option for you. I still haven't tried it out, but my friend has it, and I will get my hands on it at some stage soon.
