I am Chinese. Let me to tell you China is basically new. In 1990, China's urbanization rate was 20%, with an average of 8 square meters of urban housing per capita. In 2023, China's urbanization rate was 65%, with an average of 42 square meters of urban housing per capita. This means that since 1990, at least 94% of China's housing has been new, without considering the renovation and reconstruction of old cities.
House land is allocated free of charge to villagers. Villagers only need to bear the construction cost when building houses themselves. The villagers all have new houses. By 2020, if new houses cannot be built due to poverty, the government will provide partial funding. The per capita housing of 25 square meters is fully funded by the government.
Arf! I m in 1h30 min of the video, still lots to watch :D. It's such a cool city. Super clean, super nice and some places are very large . I repeat myself, but i really find crazy that all China cities have this necessity to make everything creative. The simple spot get a small light, a drawing, a painting or sculpture to make it look super cool. That something i never seen before i checked your video the first time... Even tho, i visited some otehrs countries, from France (obviously) to russia, japan, italia, england, spain, etc. This is kind of Unique to China to me for now. When you get out of the mall, there is a police officer talking with some people. He doesn't sound very happy. I guess theses people made something illegal or bad :/. (or maybe it's just the police officer voice that sound angry, but he is not.) Wow, that boulangerie named "Paris Baguette".... -_- Oh come on. XD WOW WOW! i really love the first cathedral and the second church :O, with the light and all, they look amazing and soo big ! I m pretty sure christian is low in China, there is probably more buddhist (of course) and muslim. But WOW! such big cathedral in China, that was not expected at all :O How, that little jesus native room is cute XD, with a little christmas tree next to it. Such thing i never expected to see in China. It show a big respect from chinese people on the others religions, such a nice thing :D 1:04:11 That i like :D, a mix between christmas decoration and chinese style. Like i said, China is the Number 1 about decoration everywhere. 1:09:41 Like i said, even a simple light on the ground with petals make a street instantly looking so much better :D 1:22:53 I feel like they gonna be a looooooots more soon :D. Bunny rabbits everywhere for the new year ! HA HA HA XD 1:33:54 That's where i stopped for now XD, still have more than half the video to look at. Wow, thank you for such super long video, it's really cool. But it should be a pain for you to upload such large video :O Thank you again for this video, I didn't finished it yet, but it's already so cool :O. I discovered some new stuff from China again XD I checked on google translate how to pronunce the name of the city, and it seems (if google translate is correct) that you dont pronunce the "g"... it's like "nin...bo". I knew i needed to check, because Chinese language is always full of traps like this XD, letter that you dont pronunce or that are pronunced differently (i hear that with the numbers :D) Now, i m gonna check the rest of the video today during lunch and enjoy everything, Thank you alots again :D
Wow, Frank, every time you show me your special pespective of the video! The pronounciation of the city is "ninbo" and the same as English pronounciation. I will read your comments carefully later!
WOW Ningbo! Max, how glad I am that you came to this city to shoot a video walk around this wonderful city for us! I lived there for two years studying Chinese at the University of Ningbo. It was a great time there were a lot of places you showed me a lot of memories I have about this city, Thank you very much Max for such a wonderful walk 🙏😊 thank you very much!!!! I've been waiting for so long when you make a video about this city!
i am from Somaliland/east africa. i studied in ningbo university i came back 2017. i had a beaituful nostalgia watching ningbo vibrant energy. thanks for the effort. i didnt know that it was this modern when i was there, may be i was busy for the studies,. again thank you for sharing buddy
Ningbo is my hometown. The shopping mall square area was all like Nantang street in 1990's. So many historical streets lost in most cities after 1990's. All the villages were like Hanling. Most of them were demolished for new houses. I am glad the traditional Chinese style is back in fashion now.
@@WalkEast it's still a city in walking friendly scale. I am surprised that Hanling still keeps many old buildings. Most market towns in Ningbo have modernized.
I hope you can make another version of these vids that’s only 5 mins long. Sort of like a timelapse video with some nice background music. Thank you for your effort. Enjoyed them 🎉
Truly amazing urban design! I expected more pedestrians because its China. Wonder what energy use and costs are. Thanks for sharing. Enjoying the stroll.
YES!!!, I was waiting for this video! haha, finally I get to compare how ningbo looked in 2008 when the movie CJ7 was filmed and how it looks now, thanks a lot!
Thanks to your channel I have discovered yet another hidden gem,the stunning & spectacular city of Ningbo❤.Hanling old street is very peaceful looking & calm.Calm & peaceful vibes around Dongqian lake.Would love to visit this beautiful city on my China trip❤.
China is very bad on football ⚽ but I really want to congratulate them for their marvelous towns and cities and their awesome way and quality of life. 🥇🏆
This has something to do with Chinese traditional culture, The Chinese despise the act of showing off. A man's football skills peak at a young age. It is an irrational choice to put time and energy into football. And for ordinary people in China, many games are much more interesting than football. Such as mahjong and chess. Therefore, no matter how far China develops in the future, it will not be the best in the sport of football.
QUITE GOOD PRESENTATION OF ' NIGBO ' CITY IN ZHEJIANG PROVINCE! from my home in ' The City of Angels, Bangkok ' At 78, with just one eye & terrible hearing problem, I admire the English subtitle - nevertheless, you could add some more on the historical sites to let me understand. ALL IN ALL, YOU DID A SPLENDID WORK HERE!
Great walk tour around Ningbo's historical coastal city. Interesting to watch till the end. Tnx4d virtual walk. With you....I traveled to China for free. I've entered inside your house to support your channel. Hope you too!
Ningbo owns one of the largest and modern container terminals. The city breeds business and encourage business. It’s lovely, tidy, and easy to explore. People here are nice, friendly. Food here are amazing and fresh. I am born and raised in Ningbo, I hope the beauty of this city can been seen by many people. If anyone is unsure where to see and what to do in Ningbo - do let me know. You are more than welcomed.
Although it's clean and beautiful in the city, it's still very messy in countryside and industrial regions. Wish that the difference will be smaller in the future and people can live in a fair society.
Aweeee! I spotted a little bit of Canadiana in Ningbo, China at 12:55. A coffee company started by a former NHL player who played for the Toronto Maple Leafs.
beautiful city, very well filmed, ,it is unfortunate that the "music" played at the beginning is so loud and obnoxious, why not try traditional Chinese music?
