For English speaking fans, Dodarebachi is a heavily arranged cover of the traditional folk song from their hometown Aomori. It is originally played by shamisen, a guitar-like instrument accompanied by vocals. I listened to the original version of this song and I was super impressed of the band’s talent in arranging this song. Thank you Ningen Isu.
Lylics(Eng.translation): 『Dodarebachi』 (A song for somewhere someone) How about Yasaburo who lived across? That guy was a lazybones. He usually woke up in the daytime And played guitar all day. Since I heard he's chasing dragonflies, I've never seen him. How about this hill is so called "Poorcrop Slope" ? It's so unpleasant. Roadside rugosa roses sucked the blood And they bloomed in red. Because the funeral seems scary for kids, They are being irritated. Oh, don't cry, don't cry, The sun goes down. If you cry, "Mokko*" will come from the mountain. So sleep soon, sleep and get bigger. How about the snowing in the moonlight? The moon was at the full. When I went outside and saw Mt. Iwaki, That towered massively. And I felt like the mountain told me, "Persevere in you, too". * Unidentified scary person. The origin is said to be "Mongolian" (Genghis Khan's Soldier).
