A couple of questions Where did you stay in Ninh Binh? I know you drove down on a motorcycle, question, I see comments that the international license is useless as you will be fined by the police if one does not have a Vietnamese license. Some what discouraging as we love to moped around, we may take the risk but not in any busy areas. One last thing are you going to HaLong Bay? Seems overpriced but your only there once so they say! Good luck enjoy the RIDE!

Hi there! 👋 I listed the name of our hotel in the video and also in the description, a little out of town, but totally worth 27CAD! A note on the IDP, we actually just got back from doing Northern Vietnam and was stopped once and all they wanted to see was our IDP.... nothing else.... so I'm not sure who's saying what about licenses.... but even one of our homestay locals said IDP is all you need. (With a motorcycle designation) if you are driving a motorcycle of course. Not sure what good an IDP would be for only a car if you plan on driving a scooter? We DO plan on going to Halong Bay and will probably do just a day cruise..... I'm not keen on sharing the waterway with 200+ cruisers.(not my idea of fun) 🤣🤣 thank you for your questions AND for watching! 😊

Ninh Binh is the best Vietnam can offer. Another natural place to see is phong nha caves system.
